Best of all was the story line and that wonderful ending! WOW!! I don't cry much, but I still cry when I re-watch that 2-part episode!!! What a powerful story, huh?

I would not have known of this song, except that it is a big part of a "Touched by an Angel" episode aptly named "Shallow Water" with him singing this song. Great episode (2 part) and a wonderful song!

My sister passed away at 44 a few weeks ago, and I played this song to help me remember that by God's grace her soul will rest in peace. I love this song, too! "Shallow Water" was written by singer/songwriter Tom Kimmel -- who, in addition to being a brilliant poet and songwriter, also has a beautiful voice. I actually prefer his version to that of Randy Travis. I wish I could post a link here to him singing this song, but I YouTube'd and Google'd, and couldn't find it anywhere. He does have a website though, and I think there's a "sample" of the song there.
