I'm new but Skyrim actually interests me. I'm thinking I would be a warrior however it sounds like Imperials have better 'General skills' than Nords. I'm also torn a bit, I haven't seen much gameplay but it seems like thieving would be extremely helpful and almost necessary. Does thievery play a lead role? I am also intrugued by fire spells. It all depends on how much importance these things serve. What would you recommend for a sort-of all around warrior (based it off of the actual cont.

@TheRocketMail123 The only 'bad' thing is he won't have a close-combat based Ability. You can make any race into any class :P

@DaoDustin They're everywhere - just explore the wilderness and you'll see one. The one in the video is just outside where you come out at the start of game.

@maybe9909 Be a high elf for mages, a nord or orc for a warrior, and a dark elf if you want to be both mage and warrior.

I have just bought skyrim and it is coming tomorrow in the post (i have never played elder scrolls btw) i was just wondering if you can still be good at physical combat if you are a mage and good at mage if you are a thief etc i subbed:)

@TheCGRGaming Thanks for subscribing! Yes, you may centre your playing style to something like a mage, but still have the ability to enhance a different class type at the same time. Skyrim is really good at not restricting your gameplay!

@xXKoDmAsTeRXx It's all up to how you want to play the game. Which ever class you choose, if you build it up it will give you great rewards to your style of play.

I want to be a stealth mage that also uses a bow and arrow often, I want to start off with either the high elf or dark elf. The 50+ magic thing is really tempting but the dark elf with the 10 + destruction and the spark right away is also very tempting. what would yo recommend

@MrCoolkris77 Light armour, and the mage class isn't such a useful thing, but being a spellsword (one hand weapon, one hand spell) is a great option, especially if you were thinking down the mage route.

@GamerRobins123 When you start off the game, you will find everything you need to begin with from Jarl Bagruuf the Greater's court wizard, Farengar Secret-Fire, located in Dragonsreach. However, as you progress you can find more advanced spells from the various mages in the College of Winterhold.

Good guide, most of the (highly useful) information in this was already known to me, but then again, I have also been obsessively following this for the past year or so.

So what race are/have you picked? I'm personally going for an Altmer with the intent to destroy all those (bad) guys with magic.

Any plans to do more stuff or do you imagine you will be too absorbed in this amazing world to find the time, anyway good job and make sure you have patience.
