correct me if I'm wrong...but I don't think it's good to have your high eq turned all the way up like that.  3rd channel is clipping in the red the whole time--puts a lot of stress on your poor mixer.

the mixer is digital it can handle it, but i know what u mean it will ruin the quality of the music aswell, and if its in the red the song distorts even if u cant hear it

The mixer is definitely not digital unless he's mixing with a program similar to traktor scratch pro. If you know what program he's using on a laptop to digitally incorporate the mixer, I'd love to hear it.

Try some original cd-s. Iff original cd skipes then its something wrong whit your players.

thanks anyway, I just figured you would've by now sampled all the effects and that you'd be able to identify something that sounds a lot like clapping. I only ask b/c it's a part of a song that I know and every time I hear that sound in a club I think the next song is that one, but it usually never is, so I assume it's an effect - and the artist just incorporated it in his song.

i got the mixer TT setup and cant get any audio threw the audio 8 threw my monitors for recording (logic 8 ) (abletion live)

I also have the same decks of Vestax , and i am proud to say , I HAVE VESTAX gear !.Those decks are more deserved for pro's because of the fast pitch controls and it is set to 0.1 . Mostly recommended for hip hop and other scratch dj's. You also have the possibility to control your CDX-O5 with the help of two turntables and 2 tascam modules.

The first thing I want to get is the DJM800 and use it with the CDX05's before I get two CDJ1000s. How well does the DJM800 work with the CDX05 is there a drop in quality or increase in difficulty when mixing the brands?

DJM800 anyday, best mixer on the market in my opinion. Build,sound Quality. The Denon is abit fiddly , the fxs are pants, and the channel faders are terrible. I used to use one at a club, ok for money but djm800 good
