i'm so sorry to not have gotton g back to you but i was running for county commission etc etc - but the real gardener - shep opgden - (i held the camera)_ confessed to me when i found him that the potatoes didn't work out. so no big new technique was proven. agaiin i am sorry, but i didn't have the answer either.

It's possible the cinder blocks insulated the soil and kept it too cool for your plants to thrive.

Six feet tall !!! Thats why it didnt work not because you used hay, They need sun. Two feet would have been good
