Yes Error Macro is right but it was when you fought reptile he would turn red. When this happend it said ERMAC under the Reptiles lifebar(But the life bar said Scorpion anyway). People went nuts becouse they started to find out about reptile as a hidden fight so they thought it was another

The reason why this happens is because of an error with the "palette swap". Every ninja in the earlier games (eg. Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Human Reptile) all have their attacks performed by the same actor. During the time when the animations were being shot, the actor (for the ninjas) wears red where say Scorpion's yellow would be. The programmers then do stuff, and the red part is "assigned" to be part of the palette switch. The game does the rest- switches palettes accordingly to the ninja.

That why back then people were all confused as they knew about Reptile. But when the glitch happened they see a red scorpion and the name of ERMAC ,no one knew what that ment so people thought it was anouther secret fighter. There was the confusion of when you won a round it would say scorpion wins. Just an Error nothing more

@fpvshitsonhsv No, his name wasn't in the lifebar, but in a diagnostic page showing some data of the games, like how may times you choosed any character or how many times you fought the special characters (GORO BEATEN 0; REPTILE BATTLES 0 ...) then there was the ERMACS count, and people believed it to be the number of appearences of that legendary secret character. It is not even sure if it truly was the counter of that particular glitch.

@KombatGod Actually i looking into all the details and the name Ermac would appear under reptiles name. not scorpions or anyone under Retiles. Reptile was the one that became red with Ermac under his name. Just google it and there is heaps of info about what happend. When the Mk team whent to the diagnostic pannel it showed many Ermacs. Ermac's happen on many Arcades all the time but will effect in diferent ways depending on what game it is.
