@Azrael1793 stuarts just got a delay pedal with the feedback set almost all the way up and twisting the delay time knob to change the pitch of the oscillation that feeds back.

@cixo87 im pretty sure he's using an analog delay to create self oscillation, which is when you set the feedback level to a greater value than the delay level on the pedal and manipulate the the feedbacking signal and the delay response, which sounds difficult but isn't if you have a good analog delay. i know they use ehx memory man delay pedals now but im not sure about back in 2003. a better example of this sound is found on this song on the special moves cd released recently.

Amazing performance of one of my all-time favourite songs. That said, I'm not much of a Mogwai fan on the whole but when I saw them live they blew my mind for one night only. It's refreshing to go to a gig where the crowd actually shuts the fuck up for five minutes.
