Here is a funny one. Those of you who are familiar with the Soviet short animated series Prostokvashino will recognise the chorus is very similar to the opening credits of the "Kanikuly v Prostokvashino" episode, albeit a bit slower. The episode was shot in 1980, the song was recorded in 1984. No idea how LC could have been exposed to a Russian cartoon though...

This is such a beautiful video for a sublime song. When I listened to it I always thought that it went beyond love of 2 people, and was an homage to those Jews who died in the Holocaust.... It was because of the reference to the burning violin - I knew that the Nazis sometimes let the Jewish musicians play music as the others entered "the end of Love" . Life and Love are one....
