I chewed on this a bit, and it occured to me that you are not the first person I have heard that lie from-- these are message left on our cell phone, if you know them, you know how they speak, and you know better than that. You were lied to. That is testimony to who *THEY* are and only confirms that I was right to speak against false teachers. If people can convince you of such a grand falsehood-- well, there's a lot to say for that-- but it is pitiable.
Don't believe this for a second. I went to this church for a long time. I left due to a reason in my on life, nothing to do with the church. I was never attacked or harrased in any way. I got a few calls to offer me love and compassion. This is an awsome church where God IS in control and the miracles happen on a daily basis. If this video was true then how would this be possible.
But, that's the problem with doublethink (Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs
in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them,) brainwashing, indoctrination, you get to see and hear what you want (or what others want for you)with out ever evaluating the evidence for yourself-- say, the financial records for instance. I'm sure you were there long enough to hear people slandered from the pulpit-- but they don't do that stuff-- OK.
Yeah, after that, I just think it is good for as many people as possible to know the truth an be able to warn others, if it happened to us, it could happen to any one willing to think for themselves
I'm a humanist but will go ahead and try and keep away from religious views here, but I do believe there's a God and man I would love to be there when someone like this dies and gets to finally meet him/her. What would God say to someone like this? Would God even waste his/her breath? Maybe just the back of a hand? I'm thinking God would just look at her with a confused glare.
OK, now you know that trying to confront heresies in churches does not work. The best thing you can do is leave them alone. They will not repent and do right. If there was any truth in them in the first place they would not do what they are doing in the first place.
