I have a question. In user manual, it says to tighten the spark plug (after hand tighten) to 1/2 or 3/4 turn. Does this apply to used spark plug? New spark plug have thicker washer while washer on used spark plug is thinner (compressed).
@smartunnel No, washer on a new plug is squashed when you initially tighten it so it requires more of a turn, typically a quarter turn after hand tight with used it fine, I always play it by feel though, bear in mind the threads on an alloy head can strip easily, copper grease on the threads to prevent catalytic corrosion and tighten by hand using plug socket, then nip it up till tight and you feel it would take effort for more with nothing larger than a standard 1/2" drive ratchet handle!

I have a broken lawnmower engine and i wonder how many spark plugs there are? Just one or one for each cilinder?

@Hherry96 One plug per cylinder, each will have an HT lead on it so easy to spot.
Some performance engines have two plugs per cylinder but doubt you'd see that on a mower engine.

@nara94 From brand new,
Change oil, the stuff they ship with is typically crap
Bed in the piston rings, change oil and clean strainer
100 miles, valve clearances, oil, strainer
200 miles, same
500 miles, same
1000 miles, same
every 1000 miles, oil, strainer, clean regap plug
Every 3000 after the first 1000, valve clearances, plug, (replace) as well as oil
You could change oil every 3000 or each year, whichever comes first but it take 1L, is v easy and fresh oil in an air cooled engine is good
