@shailston, I agree, silver is the way to go. If anyone has any means left they should look into good farm land in Belize as well. Peter is setting up there and so are we. I just got a little mini farm plot in a "Peter Shiff" friendly community that is just getting started. Email me and I will send you some info. Darinsmith@inbox.com
Gold is nowhere near a bubble just yet. People have been saying that since it was at $600 an ounce. Adjusted for inflation, the price of gold is still very low. Of course, so much emphasis is being put on buying gold that people tend to forget that the best deal is in silver. I put a substantial amount in silver about 5 months ago and the price has gone up over $30K what I bought it for just a few months back. Silver all the way baby!
Housing prices falling isn't deflation, that's a realignment of the overpriced housing market. We're seeing a return to 1980's -1990's levels, which is where it should be.
everything else is on the rise, starbucks and beer companies just announced they'll raise prices.
Peter is a natural pessimist, could be good especial being an economist for this current economy. I think this this is your time, you are in the right place that the right time.
Wow! For once CNBC had more rationally honest commentators than they did "Pie in the sky" ones. I guess they are all beginning to come around to Schiff's long held point of view....took them long enough to sort out the real soothsayer from the BSers.
Peter, we do have deflation. Prices are not an indicator of inflation. In a credit-based fiat currency, when credit collapses that is deflation. We also have inflationary forces in play, namely the Fed creating more fiat currency units. Both forces are strong and one day I think you will be right that inflation will win out resulting in hyperinflation.
There is some little error with the vid , 0:35 probally during rendering where is puts this red thing on nancy pelosis eye, looks like her soul is trying to escape the evil carcass. kind of like it.
Whenever the inflation discussion takes place, somebody should always point out that the Feds 'CORE inflation' excludes food and energy from the measurement.
Food and energy costs are skyrocketing much faster than other products, yet they are not part of core inflation.
what's everbody's definition of inflation? is it singly the CPI, or do ppl consider housing too? If everyone agrees housing was a bubble , and is now at or near its true price, then wouldn't food and energy prices show that inflation is happening. I still pay near 3 dollars gas at 75/barrel and food is not cheaper by any means. On the other hand if housing is included in inflation numbers then I would say deflation has already set ( and bottomed) and everything can only go up ( inflate ) now.
All three of these guys are sharp. The host did a good job too. It seems that more and more of the talking heads are coming around to Mr. Schiff's point of view.
What I don't understand is how is there inflation like Peter says? Shouldn't there be deflation when there is such high unemployment and downturn. Where is this inflation coming from? Is it from all the money the Fed gave out?
These other two guests and host were actually much more allowing and accepting of PS's truth talk than most.. so, for that i give them props, but PS is still the man as he speaks only the truth about this false capitalist system.
I like Peter, but I think he could be a little less "pushy" especially with these like minded guests. And she didn't do a bad job. I don't think anybody should have called her a "whore." That is just nasty. Man.
And my god, they should have that "correspondent" removed. She acts like a 5 year old making idiotic noises when Peter is speaking. This is part of why USA is going down hill. People lost class and respect for one another. She's has not even 1/100th of 1% of Peter's logic and experience, she should be quiet and listen to people who are experts in the field. But what can one expect when the MSM is thoroughly controlled and paid for by the same lying snakes whom Peter is criticizing...
It's funny how anyone with any understanding of stocks right now can believe they stand for anything. I guess some people have purposeful short term memory, or PST :)
Doesn't anyone remember how Goldman Sachs yelled after a Russian programmer from their firm grabbed their front running algorithm and ran with it? They said that if it gets in someone's hands who are not "wise", the ENTIRE world money market will tumble. Think about that. And don't forget non-existing mark-to-market accounting!
Now go play a clip of Peter Schiff on CNBC in 2006-2007. This is a stark contrast. Watching Peter agree with other panelists is amazing, but of course the host acts snarky and impatient to balance things out.
Where do they keep finding these talking head finance guys LOL! I have a degree in finance and I rarely here anyone speak the truth like Schiff does, I mean honestly these other guys have to get kickbacks by assuring everyone everythign is all right when it definitly is not.
@joel1923 Croc-hunter Steve Irwin used the defence that it was more likely that he would get hit by an asteroid, than that his son would come to any harm, when Steve held him in front of the jaws of a crocodile. A few months later, Steve was pierced through the heart by a Stingray's tail barb. Stay frosty :-)
I can tell she thinks Peter is full of it. She will find out very soon how right he is. The other two guys are changing there tunes with looking over seas which is what he has been saying for a long time
The other analysts were there not to oppose Peter, that's something new. Probably they saw that anyone who tried that made complete fools of themselves :) And the show host was really annoying at times.
Is Schiff still running for senate? Hows that going? I'm down here in KY. Kentuckians are all crazy but it looks like they're going to elect the right guy this year in Rand Paul. All his opponent's smear adds against him on tv are sickening, but he's still leading.

@limitedplay maybe but the whole thing about metals is predicated on the fact that someone will want what you have if there is a collapse since you wont want to trade it in for worthless FRNs and they'll prolly pass some BS law that says all transactions must be in FRNs...o w8....
but anyways it would prolly be better to take whatever wealth you have and flee this dying USA country
LMAO!!! Peter Schiff on buying treasuries: "The only thing that is worse than buying US dollars today is buying a promise to pay US dollars in the future."
Born to be a financial economist! It comes naturally to him; like Micheal Jordan playing basket ball! Give the man his due; he is that good! He actually made me pay attention to economics and finance!
The "woman" is supposed to be there to ask questions and give opposing views so the guests can clarify their views. Isn't that the point of an interview?
You know what this means right? Inflation is going to accellerate now that everything we've been talking about going on is now getting main stream media coverage and gaining credibility. It's going to be a very interesting holiday season this year that is for sure.
As always, Peter Schiff explains away all the problems and showed some alternative solutions. He should have won the primary for Senate seat. I hate it when CNBC mistreat Mr. Schiff...
I feel like I am getting richer with the precious metals, but the value of the dollar has been weakened over the decades and will weaken more within the not too distant future if we see $1,500/oz gold and $30/oz silver with increase consumer prices. The CPI is a joke.
They can't agree with Schiff to much, or their clients will question why their portfolio managers are having them buy and sell every week rather than buying foreign markets/commodities and holding...
@traingp7 september 10th 1939 Canada declares war on Germany. and in the month before the wizard of oz came out in theatre with judy garland, she should be wearing silver shoes. (silver screen) and all. and thats what this vid here is all about silver and gold baby. mr. schiff you are awesome!!
How is falling realestate prices not deflation? Can someone help me with this? When they went up they were inflation....what changed when they went down? I'm a long time hard core Schiff fan that has turned deflationist. End game still being inflation, but not until we have a deflationary crash that the government will be helpless to ward off because it will happen too quick.

LMAO!!! Peter Schiff on buying treasuries: "The only thing that is worse than buying US dollars today is buying a promise to pay US dollars in the future."
That's some Pulitzer material, there, bro!!!

Good to see Peter making friends. At the same time it is scary because it shows how close we are to his predictions coming true.

Born to be a financial economist! It comes naturally to him; like Micheal Jordan playing basket ball! Give the man his due; he is that good! He actually made me pay attention to economics and finance!

@AFRIKTODAY - His father (Irwin) is brilliant. Quite easy to become "Peter" then.

Its fun to watch this woman pretend she knows of what she speaks.
Schiff rocks the show, again.

@healthhavencom

Michelle should go back to pole dancing at that strip club in Paramus NJ... She clearly does not understand economics at all!!!

Classic again! "In case we get hit with inflation" "Yeah, we could also be hit by a meteor."

Stupid bitch, look at her reaction against Peter. Feel like want to hammer her head.

George Soros recently warned the gold "bubble" will soon burst.
I think he's trying to manipulate the November elections by forcing a temporary rise in the U.S. dollar.

Peter's right. The economy is in the shitter. These news anchor whores need to be strung up. Continuously lying to the people with such conviction.
It would be funny , comical if it were not so heinous.
