You really have to have been on the bridge to appreciate how huge it is. This really is a massive fireworks display.

I was standing on the north side of the bridge and got to witness this..an amazing experience. If I ever return to Australia, I am gonna make sure that I'm in Sydney for new years eve!

I'll admit London's 2008/2009 fireworks were quite good, but there's no way it topped Sydneys 2008/2009 fireworks. They were the best I've ever seen.

There are loads of young peoples hostels. BUT go to coogee near bondi. Its a cool little beach town and only 10 mins on the bus! Stay at either wizard of oz or coogee beach side. Also it has the biggest pub in the world (allegedly)

Awesome!!! I was there at circular quay and missed out on the fireworks which happened between mcquaire's chair and opera house, but this is equally good........

Fireworks was spectacular at the harbour. Mind you the music they used for the broadcast was terrible! Kills the mood :P
