  • ummm.... FUCK YES!

  • Why did it take me this long to find such an amazing band?

  • @iheartmetalcoreful I asked myself the EXACT SAME QUESTION.

  • This album has always been a disappointment to me, The guitar parts aren't even that great, Nocturne set such a standard, the combination of Nathan's emotional vocals, and the complex guitar riffs and melodies made Nocturne brilliant, as it's been shown with Midheaven and Digital Veil, without the two together it's a big shitfest.

  • TRAVIS IS GONE OUT OF THE BAND

  • @jjstreet5 thank god. Hopefully after the tour they're going to call up Nathan a re-live the old days.

  • hahahaha!

  • If you don't like this, you need to get your ears checked.

  • @Yousuck00 checked them... there are 2 big holes in

  • holy shit. amazing<3

  • Nocturne was a great album and i dont know what they were thinking when they made their second album but......im happy they have finally seen the light.

  • Travis Richter makes me cream my jeans

  • @HObo478 a retarded monkey with downs and a lisp would make a better vocals than that other guy they had i dont even care enough to find out what his name is.

  • @ThePSPJesus xDDDDDDDDDD

  • ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww naasty! they added me on facebook and i am officialy gonna delete em ahaha nastyyyyyyyyyy

  • I really miss how they were from Nocturne. I wish they made more songs like Vela and crap/

  • @albanianfreak7 totally

  • wtf is this shit

  • dxfgcvkbgljnkghjkfjhkghjklttyurt56yu7icfgvbhjgfvhjk

oh sorry cleaning the jizz off

  • I can dig it. Not as good as Nocturne, but not as bad as Midheaven. We shall know the verdict when the album drops.

  • Nice to finally hear some guitars that don't sound like they were recorded with Guitar Rig

  • 5 people are fags

  • Thank the fucking metal Gods that AJ is back and Nathan is gone. Nathan fucking ruined Mea Culpa with his vocals live. He wouldn't shut the fuck up during AJ's solos. Lol.

  • i liek teh prt guitars has evryone

  • this is just...fucking amazinggg.

  • 4 people just couldn't handle the amazing talent and hung themselves with guitar strings.

  • Welcome A.J. and motherfucking Travis.

  • @tianatragedy i have a life. a fantastic life. a girlfriend. lots of friends. i play guitar. im in a band. hmmm sounds like a guy with no life right? ;)

  • @1metalhead238 the guitar part does.lol i play guitar and that shit takes practice.lol

  • @maju36able haha i play guitar for like 3-6 hours a day :) its my passion.

  • @tianatragedy ew scene chick. gross

  • @tianatragedy fuck you scene whore, go find a mirror to take a picture in.

  • is travis doing the clean vocals?

  • @AxBxExLxAxVxAxLxOxS I'm pretty sure he is, 'cause I heard him say things like "I'm singing a lot more than I thought I would on the cd" in interviews and studio videos and stuff like that.

  • travis richter is fucking sick

  • @ahwrockmatt nice man, i knew i was spot on lol

auto tune, drum machines etc is why this genre is so over saturated

shame cuz im obsessed with it......

its golden when you find something worth while tho!

  • Hell yea guys! More like it!

  • i miss the old singer

  • 3 people are deaf.... in both ears! :)

  • i think your all forgetting about GOROD #1 forever

  • THIS IS SICK

  • Ah yes i kinda forgot about Opeth, although i thnk there in a category of there own! sick but!

And veil of maya! ill believe it when i see it live!

Most of those bands under the Sumerian label twiddle with there pro tools to much IMO, half of the appeal for me in this genre (and all sub genre's associated) was the fact that they all play actual real instruments and have capable musical talent, people who arent after the mainstream success etc.

but it seems alot of bands are going down this track

  • @cutsnake69 hey man, coming from someone that is/was signed to sumerian, they are the biggest bunch of fucking assholes i've ever dealt with, none of the bands on that label make money and never will, the only one that makes a little money is born of osiris and they don't even record their own drums, it's drum kits from hell, the drummer is not even close to that good live, and you're right about the plug ins... that's ALL those bands do cause they ALL SUCK as musicians lol btw i played drums

  • @cutsnake69 for Broadcast the Nightmare and their drums were recorded the same way, when i agreed to drum for them they told me that every show would have at least 500 people in the auidence... COMPLETE lie, i never played for more than 100 people the entire time a played for that band, it was really sad lol

  • damn this is looking good for the fans :)

  • does anyone know where i can get the lyrics to this song???

  • Still not like the good old days. Nocturne was where it was at. Nathon and AJ. They should have released several albums that followed a similar recipe to Nocture they would be fucking big right now. Also why did they get Travis Ritcher in the band? Emo faggot.

  • @crabappleslikeme Only faggot i see here is you bud.

  • @lankeysob Haha lmao.

  • Welcome back A.J. Minette.

  • @theyanny so A.J. came back for there new album??

  • @theyanny And goodbye, Travis Richter. :'(

  • @Znorriz I was not being intolerant, i just don't think the comparison should have been made to those bands. They are far more likely the be compared to BTBAM or PTH, not Anarbor or w/e. And at least their not crying because their parents got divorced and their gay boyfriends left them.

  • sounds like a mix of BTBAM and Rise To Remain, no disrespect intended...

i think the singer sounds like hes not used to the prog style and comes across as a bit lost, particularly in the cleans ???

I dare ppl to list there 3 fav prog bands!!!!!!!

    1.The Human Abstract

    2.Protest The Hero

    3.Periphery

you know you want to do it!

  • @cutsnake69

ahh i here periphery a lot but i just can not get into them at all. Protest should def be number one though. fuck yes.

  • @bryan1228 Not for me ... Periphery then THA and next prog ... mm .. After The Burial :D

  • @Octavarium666xyz totally love your name

  • @cutsnake69 Favourite three:

    1. BTBAM

    2. Opeth

    3. Enslaved

    PTH are fourth for me.

  • @cutsnake69

I'm a big fan of the bands you listed but definitely not my top 3.

    Mine are:

    1.Cynic

    2.Veil of Maya

    3.Dioramic

  • @cutsnake69

    1. BTBAM

    1. The Human Abstract

    1. Protest the Hero

    1. Dream Theater

    1. SikTh

  • @cutsnake69

    1) Protest The Hero

    2) The Human Abstract

    3) Becoming The Archetype

  • @cutsnake69

    1. Nobody

    2. fucking

    3. cares

  • i forgot how great its this band !!

  • ...WHATEVER YOUR ON!...

  • GET ME OFF!!!

  • amazing guatiar intro

i can never understand screamo but the sounds good

the actually singing sounds great too!

idk what lyrics but beat & instruments are all good =]

  • douche or not, i miss nathan. unlike god awful midheaven, aj would have been there to put him in his place, as heard in nocturne. but travis is fine.

  • @Znorriz For the love of god I hope you are joking. I've never heard of those bands and this retarded comment made me wasted seconds of my time to find out this is just emo music. There should be no comparison made between any of these bands to THA except their record label./facepalm

  • I find the new singers voice to be monstruously epic i really like it and mad props to aj im glad he is back if the rest of this album is as good as this song it will be their best album yet.

  • @magskis5 Hell yea Travis Ricter!! He was in From First to Last.. not as a singer.. but I hope his influence with this band is the same as it was with FFTL

  • If you mention Avenged Sevenfold on this page, you're an idiot.

  • @ASirensSoliloquy You just did.

  • @ASirensSoliloquy Actually, there was one part where the guitar tone reminded me of Synester Gates'. Otherwise, yeah.

  • @ASirensSoliloquy You just did :p

  • @ASirensSoliloquy I'll keep that in mind next time I plow your mom.

  • Brilliant!

  • Sounds totally sick.

  • my brain just exploded to the sound of pure talent

  • I feel as though this album should have been after nocturne. I love all their albums, but a problem with fans and critics is that if a band goes in a different direction people flip out, but if they make the same record twice everyone also flips out and is like why'd they make the same record twice. Its almost bittersweet how retarded music critics are. Listen to music, and if you like it, listen again. But if not, just don't listen to it. Its very simple. But this song is badass imo.

  • Reminds me a heavier and more talented "Waking The Fallen" by Avenged Sevenfold.

  • THA is reborn a new creature, and its fangs pierce far deeper.

  • this seriously lacks originality...nocturne was this bands only triumph

  • lol at people critiquing them so much...too much like btbam...too much screaming not enough singing...blah blah blah...

like any of you could do it better

  • New vocalist is a lot better than the old one, who single handedly ruined Midheaven. Nice that the old guitarist (and songwriter) is back too.

  • This song is just stunning

I am so pumped for their new album, I might even pay money for it.

  • Love it.

  • the usual screamo crap...detracts from what could've been a good song

  • @cub19 hahahaha you idiot I can't believe you said screamo. Using screams or growls etc are a pivotal part of the metal and metalcore genre, fool.

  • shut up jacob

  • @TresOuiBass what a dick

  • @Znorriz lol yeah. Thank you. And yeah, I'm not usually too into screaming. I love progressive metal (and some other music that gets scream-y), so I used to just try to focus more on the instrumentals, but I eventually grew to enjoy it in some cases. I guess this song is just above my current threshold.

  • There's perfect balance between cleans and screams in my opinion.

  • The Human Abstract, just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!

  • @NickKentucky LOL Dumb And Dumberer...Epic!! XP Jaja

  • @NickKentucky Midheaven was and is awesome. They need no redemption. If you and everyone else would stop holding it up against nocturne like fucking bees on honey then you'd see how great an album it is. Then you would have 3 amazing THA albums to listen to. (After this amazing-sounding album comes out of course)

  • @camstr Midheaven sucked, shut up

  • @camstr midheaven didn't suck compared to nocturne; it just sucked.

  • @cloud041089 you must be deaf midheaven was an alien sound for them, it was terrible and i shunned them after it, the new one is bringing it back to where they belong

  • @thevenom21 well you must be tripping. i talk down on midheaven, you ask me if i'm deaf, and then make an agreeing statement. good one.

  • @NickKentucky thank u for making my day by saying that

  • @NickKentucky nice, dude. I literally JUST finished watching Dumb & Dumber before watching this vid :P

  • so much better than anything from midheaven

  • wooooh metal!!!!!!!

  • @Znorriz I absolutely hate when people cite freedom of speech on the internet. Not only does the law have nothing to do with anything that either of us said, but I didn't say anything about you not being able to express your opinion. All I said was that you don't seem to be familiar enough with the genre to have a valid opinion about any band in particular within the genre. Which is an opinion in itself. So we can go back and forth being offended, or you can respond to something I actually said.

  • The song needs less screaming. One thing I did like about nathan was the ratio of clean vocals to screaming in their past work. The chorus of this song is also pretty blah, but overall I enjoyed it.

And god damn, no they don't sound like BTBAM. Yea both bands have technical guitar work, but even the style of their guitar work is completely different.

  • @A7XEric Yeah, I agree. I tend to prefer singing to screaming. But Nathan's scream was generally pretty unpleasant.

  • this song alone blows the whole Midheaven album out of the water

  • @Znorriz Basically, what Dutchmayne said. Screaming is just as much a talent and art form as regular singing. It adds more colors to the artist's palette. You can reach emotions unreachable without it. And the most obvious reason, I like the way it sounds. A lot of people do nowadays.

  • If this doesnt get you stoked on new abstract nothin will

  • @Znorriz I, personally, enjoy the screaming because it's a different sound for the human voice. it's almost like adding a new instrument, and therefore a new texture, into the music. it's also very emotional, to me. pay attention to what parts in the song he screams instead of sings. it matches the background perfectly. also, listen to what the lyrics are when he screams as opposed to sings. it's an acquired taste, for sure, but if you listen with an open mind, you may become a fan of it :)

  • @Znorriz Freedom of speech? The first ammendment doesn't apply to the internet.

  • Sounds awesome!

  • YES! They're finally back in the way they should be! :D cant wait for the rest of the album :)

  • wow this song sucks

  • Its a bit bland I think. But overall pretty good song! Hopes for a good new album..

  • @Znorriz you don't have to be embarrassed for having bad taste... it happens

  • I don't really get the BtBAM comparisons. Doesn't sound any more BtBAM than Nocturne did. Lots of sweeping going on, but that's only one aspect of the music and there are plenty of bands before BtBAM that did that.

  • @velvetelvis31 well if you think of BTBAM only for sweeping you don't really listen to much BTBAM then cause they are so much more than just sweeps.

  • @ESPGuy19

That's not even close to what I said. Not even sure why you connected those dots. I've been listening and loving both these bands for a very long time. The only reason I can see people saying they sound similar to BtBAM is because of the very elaborate sweeping. To which I say, BtBAM did not invent sweeping. Very simple to understand.

  • @velvetelvis31 People are comparing to BTBAM because Travis's lows are similar to Tommy's and the riff at the beginning sounds like a riff from Swim to the Moon.

  • @velvetelvis31 It's the overall feel and presentation of the band. Metalcore with sweeping and technical leads over the chugging, and the vocalists sound similar.

  • @velvetelvis31 i think a lot of it comes from the fact that the first riff sounds a bit like the riff in "swim to the moon"...

  • @Znorriz "It's not complex." Bullshit. This band is praised and idolized for there ability to write technical but coherent music. "It's screaming." So? "then whispering." Where the fuck did you hear whispering? But again, so?. "with lotsa guitarschtuffin between." So your point is that sometimes there's no singing for you to follow? You just like words, not music? "Emo metal." You're an idiot. The screaming is astounding. Just because you don't like screaming doesn't mean we have no taste.

  • really suprised about how many people apparently dislike this.

i think it's pretty awesome. sweet mastering, technically perfect and musical, good song, catchy nevertheless complex.

if you don't like screaming or clean vocals, then why do you listen to human abstract?? saying that this is emo metal ist just ridiculous.

i hate people who dislike a genre just because some would consider this as emo metal. gosh. fags.

this blows your fucking head off.

  • yessssssssssssss

  • @Znorriz You obviously have more of a problem with the genre (which is Progressive Metal, btw) than you do with this band in particular. If a genre as a whole is just not your thing, then you really have no way to gauge how good or bad a band is within that genre, which means you really have no reason to bother commenting.

  • @Znorriz your either not smart enough or not musically inclined enough to understand musically complex things like this.... no offense

  • i feel funny in my pants......

  • Wow. I believe that with the release of this album THA will replace btbam as my favorite band

  • @StewieSwan hmm, that is a possibility for me as well...they're gonna have to pull out all the stops for that to happen though...

  • amazing!

  • new albums gonna kick ass

  • Remove clean vox and this song would be hawt

  • This is absolutely amazing. Yes, still a lot of it sounds like BTBAM, but deep inside I was hoping for that. =)

  • This is so Epic.

    Great. Wait for the Album.

  • The screaming is a lot dirtier than I expected. Definitely a change up from Nathan. May take a little getting used to, but they sound pretty good. Musically, it sounds great. Doesn't sound too similar to Nocturne, but definitely has the edge I've been missing. My only complaint is...I'm missing Nathan's cleans. His cleans on Nocturne were better than these IMO.

  • More screaming/growling than I generally enjoy, but it works here. This is pretty awesome.

  • I love this song

  • good old human abstract, with a tinge of btbam

  • @glennielsen you're the first person that agreed with me that it sounds BTBAM-ish. >.> Anyways, I was listening to Nocturne earlier, thinking "man, they can't have changed THAT much" but this sounds pretty much how I didn't want them to sound on this album...

  • @glennielsen haha yeah a TINGE of btbam. check out my channel i made a video comparing the first riff in this song to a riff in Swim to the Moon. they are the same exact thing...

  • @chroniclesofgraffito similar in a sense. but defff not the same scales at all.

  • hey party pooper, it's amazing

  • well,that sucked...

  • @f4llenSk4ter you are crazy...
