  • @MrANCHOVIES2 365ci stock and your hr never going to keep up around a track ever cant turn cant stop. a stock ve ss beats brock's 1979 Holden A9X Torana around the hill. mild mods and you got a monster. my second hand ssv is 612rwhp / 11.6sec and all for under 40k

  • Damn, that sounds nice!

  • i liked the wheel chirp on your 'normal drive off' lol, very nice car mate im very jealous

  • is it true that just every all the holends have ford running gear?

  • @TheJaydiddymercer Anyway, no it's not true, the series 3 vs commodore, through to the vy (I think) had a Getrag gearbox, Getrag are allied with ford, hence Getrag Ford Transmissions, but they distribute their trannys to several companies.

Some people also believe that holden use ford parts as standard because of the amount of old holdens out there with ford 9 inch diffs, trannys, throttle bodys, and the occasional head. (they're cheaper than name brand, so they suit backyarders on a budget.)

  • @TrOpPeRzOoAmP

dude getrag is a supply company, and as this guy has said supplies many contry, eveen porsche use a getrag gear box, even the auto are the same make, but the 2 run differently, aparently the ford version run smoother,

and when u think about it what car company makes everthing that goes on a car, bousch or mitsubishi make majority of the electrics, brembo do alot of car company breaks,

  • 4 Ford fans watched this

  • nice work, thanks for recording this. clear sound with not much sound of wind blowing.

  • i love this car, unfortunately HSV/Holden/Pontiac´s are not sold in germany, if they were i would so buy one just to hear the sound of that V8...seems i´ll have to import one of those myself ;)

  • @menaceman1000 dude u can buy them in europe under GM brand vaxhaul, vxr8, n they are better value then here were they come from, and if u want some real fun, try the Bathurst edition

  • @Gaijin55 well technically its only a small potrtion of ponitac. I mean our ponitacs are there special edition models but i am saying a straight up Holden dealer right here.

  • sounds AN looks badass.

  • @vsboy25 your mom is bad ass

  • I am going to introduce this to america. I swear guys we need a holden dealer here in the u.s. of a.

  • Yes I noticed the camera shaking.

  • Ooooh, me likey! That sounds a lot nastier than before. Nice choice. : )

  • thx, I wanted a h-pipe like urs, but thought I'd try straight pipes first :)

  • is that an auto

  • That's a beautiful car with a great noise, but unfortuantely would be extremely impractical to own here in Singapore because the govenment taxes cars by engine displacement.

  • dam dude i had no idea that kind of shit goes on.....

  • It's why people here who can afford sports cars prefer crap like the Evo and the STI. They have smaller engines, so it costs less to own them.

  • i feel sorry for you.

  • how much would a 6.2L cost in SG per year in tax?

  • $7390 Singapore a year.

  • holy fuck that's expensive.

  • Yeah it is lol. That's why people prefer stuff like the STI and Evo. Heck, 370Zs are rare stuff. T

hose who can afford tax for large displacement engines usually go for European stuff, like Ferrari, Lamborghini and even the M5.

  • ahhh yes, makes sence. Evo's > STI =D

  • @daveveight i know that,.

here in singapore our cars are taxed by displacement. hsv just launched here but it's incredibly expensive, the maloo costs 318,000 SGD (246,638 AUD) . annual road tax for 6.2 litres will cost 7390 SGD a year (5731 AUD) making it insanely expensive to own one here despite its lower fuel consumption

  • @Pwned000 Thats insane!

  • @holdenls1ssz i know right - haha. i love V8s but I guess i'll never be able to own one here. most I'm hoping for now is a subaru WRX STi in the future.
