NERD did a fantastic job, especially with this one, and contributing to the overall musicality of the album. Under pressure, they always deliver, and they are geniuses no doubt. But ... Cry Me A River was the breakthrough sound for JT. Like I Love You was good, but it didn't convince people; I remember the talk at the time, the jury was out. But when Cry Me A River dropped, it was all over.
