@Nordlicht05 learn how to use punctuation; then, clarify what is done to the induction side of the engine in this video. you are misleading people telling them this video is the "intake silencer delete". Then, you put a PERIOD and wrote "testpipe and backbox." Did you just remove the piece with the intake silencer and leave a gaping hole in the induction side of the engine, then later replace it with the ACTUAL elbow? this is why people are wondering why its so loud in the video.
@baltimorefixed not trying to flame you, just trying to help others doing research on the intake silencer delete understand why you can hear the turbo and bpv so well in the video.
PLEASE HELP i bought my wrx used and since i got it it has sounded just like this i always have thought it was my BOV so does my BOV (stock) sound like this or did the guy before me remove the reso? what do you think.
@Nordlicht05 thanks that actually helped! i do still have the resonator so i guess that is the blow off valve im hearing so now i know what the sound is and i know what to take off to make my intake louder THANKS!

If your car is stock the bov will make your car a little bit rich which causes a small detonation in your exhaust system.
If the uppipe/downpipe are catted stocks, the detonation happens at the cat which could destroy it and some parts could go into your turbo.
If you want to hear the bov sound, put back the stock bpv, and remove your intake resonator, just cut the silencer out, no need to close the remaining hole, the fender feeds cold air anyways.
@LebaneseForEva parts for the cat getting into the turbo? you turn your turbo into a vacuum or something how are parts traveling back up the exhaust system? also it does not cause the car to run rich all of the time. it will run rich for a short burst when the bov vents to the atmosphere because you are releasing air that the MAF has already metered. so it is expecting that air to get to the engine, but it doesn't. this can cause it to bog. read more post less thanks
@Nordlicht05 O i see i guess thats my problem. that sucks cuz i really want more bpv sound but without the elbow i feel like it is risky to drive around

Locik if there is a conntection between the airbox and the front. The reso or elbow is over the wheel.

What exactly does the resonator delete mod do?

@KFLY67
after the stock airbox is an silencer for the intake noise. The Video ist without that silencer.
Later i replaced it with a connection to the front intake without silencer. But the noise from the video is almost gone.
