How to DACUS with Sheik

This is why I'm glad I learned classic controller.

It gives you a whole extra button to play with, and the triggers have much less distance to travel.

I have L set to jump and LZ set to attack.

I can thunderstorm/pikastorm and DACUS effortlessly.

Your way seems very innovative, because even though you stop running when you press up on the control stick, you can still do a dash attack when your character puts on the breaks to stop. giving you a head start to do the DACUS. So now I only have to time the Z button right and not that mangy stick.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you supposed to hit C-stick Down before you tap Up?

Not Right > Up > C-stick Down > Attack but

Right > C-stick Down > Up + Attack?

@Amaranthine69 the Up is to get the upsmash but it doesn't have to be right before attack, the control execution is so tight anyways.. I do Up first to emphasize that because i think thats what can mess it up alot if you're only doing like an uptilt

I know it's probably not possible with the Wiimote and Nunchuck combo (unless you use the swing-smash command with the A button to charge), but I'm gonna try it anyway. This'll help during my tourneys! Thanks for the in-depth explain dude!

Thanks to you I was able to get the DACUS 50% of the time in an hour. Within two, I had it 4 out every 5 times. Now, I can do it command and can do the DACUS with pretty much every other Character because of that. Thanks so much for the video, you have no idea how much it helped!

random question, but is this technique more powerful then a running+ up C-stick. It looks pretty similar other then the fact that you slide farther.

Im a veteran smash player who wasnt able to dacus with sheik AT ALL before watching this vid. You truly saved my ass man.

However my recomendation is to use 'Z' for attack instead. I do this because u need to push the trigger button all the way down for the game to register the input which can be very frustrating especially with sheik's DACUS (u need every frame u can get)

Im now usin 'Y' & 'R/L+ Shield' as my grab. (gamecube controller)

Just another variation that i found works well

You may be right about the Z thing, I just started with R because its less intrusive on the controls (I can just shield with L and grab is same)

Another option could be to take the spring out of your R button which some people do anyways because its easier to powershield i've heard...But I've gotten used to my way pretty well and its just whatever your comfortable with.

It took me about 10 minutes to master.

However I do it with Tap Jump on and Pretty much normal controls (I have my "Y" set to grab). I use the Claw.

Great guide though.

The way I do it is to tap forward, c-stick down, Immedietly press "A" then I press "Up".

It should eventually feel like one motion, if it's choppy at all you'll start doing Dash attacks or Areials (If you use Tap Jump). 2:29 for example.

u basically just have to get a working mental model of the timing for u personally...a way of thinking of how to do it that just lets ur hands do it on their own w/ minimal aid from ur mind.

u might try combining the upcontrolstick and downcstick parts into one step or moving the upcontrolstick back in the sequence a little...the only requirement is to get usmash right after dash attack done w/ cstick

i can help u with that ok i am a master at that thunder kick what u should do is press y or x tap the c-pad left or right, right when u jump u can do that move almost at pikachu hight but press the move butten down after u do the move or u could be an easy target if u miss

Those are easy. What I tend to do is short hop and Di. They hit 9 times out of 10. Just learn the spacing and hit with the tip of her foot. EXCEPT with her Down Air. If they're falling and you're raising try to hit with her WAIST!! It's MUCH MUCH easier to land that way.

You can certainly DACUS without the shake smash on. On my setup, I have the down d-pad button on the wii remote set to DSmash. And then you just do it: right or left control stick, and then up control stick + down d-pad + A.
