I too hunted down this clip just to hear the music again. It's cool that NWM made it available as a free ringtone, but it's only the first 27 seconds and doesn't include the soaring, uplifting part. It would be nice to know who composed it so that they could get some recognition, and it really should be on iTunes. I know it was written for NWM, and I'm sure they hold all the pub rights, but this song touched a lot of people; it's a shame it can't be shared without being attached to a sales pitch
Great ad! Just saw it during the LSU/Oregon half-time report. Excellent job, and KUDOS to the team that designed the visual aspects of the commercial! People don't realize how difficult that is.
I'm curious how you did that. After Effects? Motion?
There is a similar commercial with the 3D effects. It had a cityscape and ended with a book opening up and the logo appeared. Anybody know that commercial? Did the same agency do that commercial too? the effects, style and color are very similar.
You would think an industrious marketer would learn the value of a song in today's culture and name the song, buy the righties to it and sell it on itunes. That way this commercial not only drums up business but indirectly drives profit for the score.......hmmm, good idea, huh?
This commercial is like a magic trick. While one hand is keeping are amazed by the music and graphics, The other hand is in your pocket robbing you blind. Research whole life or permanent insurance and get the facts.
@danmorel Northwestern Mutual has single handedly beaten the advice of the whole life critics. This company doesn't pride itself on how much they bring in, but rather how much they give back. Look for people that have money invested in Northwestern Mutual whole life as well as mutual funds for 20 or 30 years, and see what they say. If you did real research you would have actual facts.
Thank you for your comments on the music. The music is original, written specifically for these ads. The long format version of the music is available through the YouTube video titled, “A Foundation for Life” found on our YouTube Channel.
