i will buy one Glock but i dont know witch? i need that for home defense and shoot target. is the .357 so much stronger than the rest or the 9mm? many people say buy the 9mm. please help..
I really liked this video. However, I just bought that second hand Glock 19 GEN3 said to be new (never fired). Went to the shooting range this morning for the first time, after dry fire it few times,The chamber would stay open until i rmanually release the slide after each shot, as if my mag was empty. Samething occurs when i first enter the loaded mag and slide, it stays open until i lower the slide; Makes it look like a stupid single-shot weapon. What are your thoughts about this?
Plug for the rear handle? That's what I been looking for but I cant find it on the website that you provided any specific part name that can locate the item on the website ? Thanks again for the info, great reviews...
A lot of these issues, mostly the lack of anything ambidextrous on Glock, is completely taken care of on S&W's M&P line. The slide release on the M&P is present on both sides and the magazine release can be switched for lefties or righties. Not bashing the Glock, just stating a fact. As a righty it doesn't impact me one way or the other, but watching your vid made me realize how it might help others.
Check it you should be doing that before you upload the video fuck the people watching nobody care like your going to shoot one of us your safety first LOL..
Hehehe...field strip ..........does anyone else get the vision of a gun alone in a field slowly taking off it's metal parts.....? Ohh baby, wanna see how big my Mag is?.... (pushes his release)...flop......there you go baby....
to clear things up: you got 2 ways of making the slide go back, 1: by pulling the slide a little backwords, and 2: by pushing the slide lock. So it doesn't matter when to use what method?
Nice review. I like how you started the whole thing showing the gun is clear, and it looks like you do a great job of keeping your booger picker off the bang switch. Good on you!
thanks for safety checking the gun on camera ive bin watching alot of vids and people dont sya if theguns loaded or not
also look up gu collections or ww2 gun collections theres a ddue who took his enfield and it was laoded he cocked the gun back not all the way but pretty close to it then pulled the trigger i wanted to go through the comp and smack him
Thanks for the review. I am in the process of research and am considering the Glock 19 for my first firearm. I am a left-handed shooter as well and I found this review helpful!
I'm looking to buy my first pistol soon and was looking at the Glock 22 RTF2 but I'm left handed as well. The world seems to have a vendetta against us lefties so this vid is much appreciated!
That recoil buffer will do more damage to your gun than good. It's really better that you just use a recoil spring instead. Recoil buffers have been known to cause malfunctions and break the guns.
@Sinfull702x602 The design isn't quite perfect... the grip just doesn't fit everyone. To me it feels fine and I have no issues at all shooting a glock but the hump could easily interfere with some hands. Glocks are very simple and reliable though. My friend bought a Sigma because he didn't see the point in buying a Glock.... he shot mine once and now wants a G19... go figure...
They actually do make a mag release for left handed shooters, it is a pull down style, and it is pretty sharp pointed, I felt that it might get caught up on stuff.
It actually works really well for me! I know there are a couple differant versions out there, I have the one with the lever that actually comes off to the side slightly.
The hollowed part of the grip, that you plugged, is an exhaust port (persay) for the gun. Dont believe it toss afew cotton balls in there. Shoot a box, they will be covered with gsr. I got the 3.5 trigger and GTL-10 for home defense. Love the 19. Thanks for the vid.
you should add the words "magazine extension removal" to your title, people like me who were once NEW glock users would find a video like this useful, nice video though
glock 17 is too big. glock 19 is a good size gun...not too big and not too small. glock 19 and springfield XD 9mm sub are the best guns for the best prices.
I'm a new shooter and after 4 trips to the range I went from barely accurate to hittin' 50 out of 50 at 7,10,15 yrds. It is definitely an easy shootin' pistol!!!
Very informative. I am a left handed shooter and I was on the fence about buying a new Glock, but you convinced me it is the right choice for me. Thanks
quick question, this is the Gen 3 right?
I just got one myself, and as a left handed shooter I will be getting the extensions for the magazine release and the slide release as well.
Thanks for the detailed video!

@w5a I did hear the opening in the handle is for gases to escape, so its a good idea to take it out every now and then when you shoot.

On the 4th gen Glocks, you can switch the mag release on either side of the gun. The 4th gen is left hand friendly.

don't you need special mags with the lefty mag catch tho?
PsalmLove 2 years ago
Nope.
SHUTupNrocK8 2 years ago
@PsalmLove The groove on the magazine is directly in the center and runs across the magazine so it really doesn't matter.
HippieMagic 1 year ago
Since you are left handed how come you didn't move the mag release to the other side? Is it possible to do that?

has the mag release ever been activated when leaving a vehicle or carrying concealed? It has happened to me with my G21 in the past...
eldogg4life 2 years ago
it works really well for me, a lot better then the stock version! do you have the one with the small plate that bolts on with 2 small allen bolts?
forumsnow3 2 years ago
I would probably buy the plug but come time to shoot I would take it out so it does not interfere with its purpose of letting out gasses and such.
So carry/store it with the plug and when you go to the range maybe take it out every now and then to let it clear out
andyffer 2 years ago 2
the plug is really entended for a stock to put on glock for full auto adaption

How easy is it to conceal the glock 19?
DeniedHealthCare 2 years ago
Its pretty easy, its a nice mid-sized gun, not to big, and easy to stuff into a holster and conceal under your clothes, the gun is not bulky at all
