I have a question about sharing files throughout my wireless network. I have a G-Router, Windows 7 64 bit PC, and a new MacBook White.

Now I've shared files from the Windows Desktop to my old Windows Laptop in the past. I've even played LAN games and everything. However, when with the Mac, I cannot see my Mac in my network from my Desktop, and vice versa. I am using internet and everything else works fine.

Any ideas?

BTW, NetGear is one of the best, you should say Stay away from the Generic unnamed brands.

NetGear has given me no problems and i've seen 5 friends have problems with there linksis routers.

I'm a Fan of both :D just nothing else... Linksis and Netgear!

@darkrais123 Yes you can, using windows media center extender, you can connect your xbox 360 using your network to your computer.

Make shure you Virus Programs is set up to allow media extender connectivity (which messed me uP :D)

It's best to go for either a Linksys or a Belkin router. Also, the latest wireless encryption is not WPA, it's WPA2. If you really want to be secure, you could enable MAC Address filtering.

For Windows you dont have to go into the control panel! That takes so long, just click the wireless icon in the taskbar and select your network! Urghhhh

When I fired up my MacBook to the reseted network last night, it stopped working and I had to reset it again, only it wouldn't reset. Then I tried it early today and it started working again. Finally, it works...
