Speaking from experience that is because it's exciting and new....but it changes, so I think it's true that you should not tease him too much and vice versa. I have a fear of heights and if you only knew what it's like...like if I see someone standing on top of a bldng. in a movie, it makes me ill. I don't even have to be up there....I can't explain it but truly it's awful. Your guy is doing very well actually. Kudos to him!! But standing on a mtn. doesn't bother me. last time I did anyway.

I love doing this to my wife (Japanese) as well. My little boy and I will jump on the other side and scare the living hell out of her. So much fun hearing her get scared in Japanese/English and yelling out a few Spanish words at us. SO MUCH FUN!!!! I love the fact you were also enjoying yourself.

It appears he learning how to be romantic. IF romance is not common in his culture, then I'd suggest watching lots of old romantic comedies together. You can teach him the art of romance though film. It seems he is new at woowooing, and wants to learn. Love and romance is a dance that sometimes requires guidance with men. He is trying to love you in the way you want to be loved. That is utter perfection. Kudos. You are training him well, but tone down the criticism.

Yes, he tries hard but it's quite a long road. There is definitely a disconnect between his idea of romantic and mine but we try to meet in the middle. One day I will put up the story of our proposal which was also a bit of a disaster lol. But don't worry about the criticism. Right now, everyone only sees him through a certain lens. As for me, I am very clumsy and have no fashion sense which he's trying to "fix" and makes fun of me for on a constant basis. It's just who we are lol.
