This game was my favourite in 2003 and 2004. I still play it till this day and try complete it in a single playthrough. I got 8hrs, 25mins, 59.5secs.

I remember, as a kid, my first play through going into Petal Meadows, wondering to myself, "Oh this is calm and peacefu..." Then Hooktail comes into view, RAWRING LOUD, my heart trembling in fright and panic.....oh those were the good ol' days... ;)

I absolutely loved TTYD and Superstar Saga, but I wish they'd make another Mario RPG for maybe the Wii. They could make some really cool moves using the Wiimote...as long as it works right.

super mario rpg was the best no doubt. i have the actual copy on an SNES rather than from virtual console :P. earthbound was also great, i just wish we had mother 3 in the us....

By "earthbound" you mean Earthworm Jim !? My friend got far in it but when I emulated it it's kinda challenging !!

I just wikipedia'ed Super Paper Mario and yeh, I should've figured it's the Wii's attempt at a "paper RPG".

I only saw one pic and it's all old school, 2D AND 3D..it looks pretty dull that way

Really, the only thing that keeps progression going is the funny dialogue at times. But it's super long..you lose focus so easily ;/

the mother/earthbound franchise consists of 4 games: MOTHER, MOTHER 2, Earthbound, and MOTHER 3. every one of the "MOTHER" titles is japan-only, and Earthbound is a north american version of "MOTHER 2". the game was an amazing RPG but was mainly exclusive to japan. the story was touching and gameplay was fun. if you've ever played the super smash bros. series and have seen the characters "Ness" or "Lucas", they're from the MOTHER/earthbound series. the games are really fun, you'd enjoy 'em.

MOTHER 2 and Earthbound are the same game. MOTHER 2 is just the Japanese version of Earthbound. There are three.

MOTHERs 1, 2, and 3. :D

when i said it consisted of 4 games, i included earthbound as it was a different title (even though it's the same as MOTHER 2).

I even said: "Earthbound is a north american version of "MOTHER 2"

i know my facts, I too love the mother/earthbound series, and have played all 3 (had to get the fan made translation for mother 3 though).
