In 2003 there was a boy named Link, and his friends at school were bullying him and laughing at him because his name was the same as a game character. Half a year later he was found in the kitchen with a knife. He had slit his throat. If you don't put this on 3 videos in 10 minutes, he will stab you with the knife in your neck while you're asleep.

the guy said the americans brought electricity to rich people that is not true, it was not the americans who brought electricity... afghans buy electricity from uzbekistan... it is not the americans who help people they are just killing afghans not helping anyone
Honestly I don't actually know, but if the guy from AlJazeera actually didn't do his homework on that, he probably wouldn't be working with AlJazeera.
yeah it is the fking media that brainwash people. they lie about everything these stupid americans hehehe ur an american too. they blame muslims for everything.
The americans should gain the support of the population, not increase the quantity of troops there. What did the civilians do? Nothing! But they are still mistreated
Iran and pakistan are we're we need to be! and it's time to take em out! It's time for the nukes thats the only way we can make them understand. WHoOOooOA USA ALL THE WAY!! YEAH BABY!
@2:31: "He says more foreign troops are not the solution."
@2:41: "We cannot solve this problem just by increasing the soldiers."
The usage of 'just' does not necessarilly support the summary provided. As a non-native speaker I forgive the parlimentarian this ambiguity, but I can extend no such lieniency to the editor. I would hope the imparted bias is supported by other footage, but I cannot assume so. In any case the question of bias now detracts from the credibility of the coverage.
My question is- why is America still in Afganhnistan and Iraq, they are obviously not doing any goo, they are just letting the people suffer! And why do the soldiers that go there think that they are doing it for the greater good? And why are people even considering John Mcain for president when he seems to think that war is good and he wouldnt give a damn if the soldiers stayed there for a 100 years??
All I read is comments gathered from media and peoples perception, rather then reality in Afghanistan. Afghans as a majourity are a civil nation, they welcome all the support and presence of Nto and US in Afghanistan inc their Military force. There has been and is 1000's of good news Happening and coming out of Afghanistan, Unfortunatly Media very rarely focuses on good news, but one day soon Afghans will recover from eyars of hardship and truly appreciate these times
want electricity use some ingenuity and quit bitching about it and build a wind turbine or something I know you can get some copper wire and a few magnets or a alternator out of some car. fuck grow some potato's and stick a fucking nail in it steam power works to use your brain
Their uneducated so how are they supposed to know that sort of stuff. General knowledge even things that people would generally know here the people there in Afghanistan would not.
So why did the US help make Japan and Germany the 2nd and 3rd most powerful economies in the world? Afghanistan socially, politically and economically is so pathetic it would take 30 years of sustained investment to even get them to respectable levels. You would probably never see a return on your investment either like you see with Japan. Some radical would take over the gov. again. The task is just depressing.
Japan and Germany bowed down to the U.S. Afghan being a Muslim nation would never agree with the US. Investment is not possible by the US because they do not share similar moral grounds. The religion prevents such. The US will only help a country that is willing to submit their social, political and economic identity.
You said nothing in your statement to support your assertion that helping afghanistan would make it a competitor to the US. My statement obviously crushed yours. So you just changed your argument to the US will not help Afghanistan because they will not submit to US morality. Your obviously struggling.
Look bub, my point is that US would only help Afghanistan if they became a US lapdog. Afghanistan, like any nation can make strides possible to become a competitor with the US. I don't ask for your internet economist viewpoint nor your condescending perception of an argument. Get over yourself and focus on whats going on in YOUR country. My point is the US should mind their own business and leave the Middle East alone.
I see i have emasculated you to the point that you have to use pet names to reflate you ego, interesting. When you type false statements on a public forum you open yourself to everyone's opinion and condescending perception. You are wrong. Have some class and bow out.
usa harbored taliban when they were fighting the soviets....even clinton attacked the taliban...but the poor people of afghanistan did not do anything...
russia had a modern reason to attack georgia..it was georgia killing 16 russian troops on their soil...why give georgia when that mac daddy usa is giving them 4billion because usa is only one who is going to benefit with the oil line running through georgia
Your argument makes no sense. So the Taliban are not Afghans? You think the Nazi where not German? If the good Afghans would stand up to the Taliban then investment in the country would be much easier and rewarding.
So Georgia trying to retrieve its territory from the Russians is a "modern" reason for Russian to invade them and loot there cities like a bunch of thugs?
if you can invade a country for no reason...then little thing such as the situation with russia and georgia is nothing...if russia invaded iraq and afghanistan then wwIII would spur...usa has to be the world police
if the citizens are happy there definitely wouldn't be any problems. That's why so many military/police troops are switching sides and fighting for the militants (As seen on past video post on Al Jazzeera).
We know this (military coming in to earn $)is happening but is there a way to stop it?
The only way I could c this problem resolve is to get other large nations2step in & take over the driving seat. But apparently none of tat is happening so far.
global capitalist system is utterly incapable of dealing with collective problems. it is based on a flawed and archaic notions of individuality, that blocks out the basic mutual reliance people have on each other and promotes the flawed parts of human nature. worship of self-interest and individual greed creates separated and hostile parties that all fear each other and cannot come together and help each other to solve problems. issues like this and global warming have exposed the failures.
This is America's war. America decided to go into Iraq for its own economic interest and ignored Afghanistan. Why should other nations have to send their soldiers to fight in Afghanistan because America sees no profit in it?.
rouge states committing criminal war aggression (i.e. the US) are a threat to the entire world, especially in the age of nuclear weapons. remember the whole nazi germany aggression, countries cannot just invade for their own interests; the western game leads to terrible things. afghanistan is a projection of western warlordism, whose social conditions have been created by centuries of western invasions and destruction. the west owes massive reparations, not more brutal attacks.
If you thought Bush was bad, wait until you are knee deep in Obama's plans for war and occupation... he's no diplomat, and his administration choices are gonna to make the Bush years look like the cake walk they 'thought' a little 'war' with Iraq would be. War generals and the military industrial complex would be happy with Obama as president. McCain, too - we lost our chance for ending wars/occupations when Ron Paul didn't get the GOP nomination.
Poor people are more likely to become militants. If there is an increase in militantcy there is a reason for the US to continue occupation. The Defense Contractors continue to make money, there is more money devoted to the Pentagon and the military. The Generals are 'milking' money on the US being there. But whatever I say doesn't change the crap goin on.
