i live in oakland and we do have an alternative to the way we live its just that some of Us do not know that their is an alternative to the "typical oakland" life and other refuse to see and/or live the alternative way. Many times in protests like this the guys who cover their faces with masks are actually cops trying to agitate the crowd into violence so they can justify firing rubber bullets and stuff. All protests should always be 100% mask free so no cops can ruin the fun. And if you go to a protest and see masked men expose them by pulling off their masks and/or kicking them out of the protest.
