This video is so inconclusive and shaky, that there's no way of telling why the people who we could make out got arrested. I didn't see anyone being brutalized. I saw people being pulled over, as they resisted, to be arrested. There's a big difference. If there's more to the story on the protestor's side, I'd like to see it, because with this, I can't make out much other than equally frustrated protestors and police.

@Pashatube - There's no way of knowing what those people did before they were arrested because you can't tell from the video. The person recording gets blocked off by the crowd & police several times & gets random shots right as the ppl are being arrested. More than 1 policeman on top of anyone (man/woman) is sometimes what it takes to arrest someone resisting arrest & get it done quickly w/out taking the risk of further physical harm to the person being arrested, others around, or the police.

If she was doing something during the protest that was deemed as potentially unsafe for the other protestors, law enforcement, or bystanders she can be arrested. Stop thinking that officers are always wrong. Your right to peaceful assembly does not give you the right to break other laws and doesn't keep your from being arrested for breaking other laws.
@Pashatube Yes it is found normal when they already broke the law, just one can make you subject to arrest, you really can't tell if she robbed a bank 10 minutes before the video or not or did something before the camera got there, all we can do from this position is assume, my guess is not better or worse than yours... as long a it's logical.

Read the 9th amendment, your freedoms only extend as far as they do not violate another's. Blocking entrance to private businesses is interfering with commerce. This video is so inconclusive and shaky, that there's no way of telling why the people who we could make out got arrested. I didn't see anyone being brutalized. I saw people being pulled over, as they resisted, to be arrested. There's a big difference. If there's more to the story on the protestor's side, I'd like to see it, because with this, I can't make out much other than equally frustrated protestors and police.

The person recording gets blocked off by the crowd & police several times & gets random shots right as the ppl are being arrested. More than 1 policeman on top of anyone (man/woman) is sometimes what it takes to arrest someone resisting arrest & get it done quickly w/out taking the risk of further physical harm to the person being arrested, others around, or the police.

If she was doing something during the protest that was deemed as potentially unsafe for the other protestors, law enforcement, or bystanders she can be arrested. a police officers job is to apprehend criminals, the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order. if you get in the way of that they have to right to use any force necessary to regain control. the police are in control not the public not the other way around.

@Enthusiasmable The problem with your position is that peaceful is not always lawful. They do not have the right to violate other's constitutional rights in support of their own. Read the 9th amendment, your freedoms only extend as far as they do not violate another's. Blocking entrance to private businesses is interfering with commerce. They are violating that as well as others freedom of movement. Even at that these encounters with the police are being intentionally provoked.
