I suggest you take a trip to Florida to the vile elephant winter quarters and see how they"work" the elephants there.Then add to that the vile containment on trains in all weathers, the constant chains round the legs. the incessant sterotypico behavior all of them manifest. the idea that these asian elephants would be better off roaming the "vast expanses of the asian jungles" is utterly quixotic and absurd... asia is being developed rapidly - i've been all over asian and i quickly learned that almost all of the elephants are in logging or the tourism industry. you think peta's undercover video footage is bad? you should see what goes on in the open streets of thailand - nobody cares there. ringling is probably the best place for these elephants
