  • power liftgate does not open automatically, what would the solution, please town country 2001

  • I am having the same door ajar problem. Where can I get an electrical diagram for my 05 Mazda Tribute?

  • It seen that if you was using a scanner to access the BCM it would of saved a lot of time locating which door was the issue.

  • Thank you very good video. I needed that.

  • awesome technique

  • Remember the Gold miner games few years ago on the internet, same music ^^

  • good video

but, that's a lot of work to reinstall the same switch

  • Thanks for the video, but I'm confused with all the open/ground close/ground stuff. It makes my head spin.

  • How come u didn't just use a scanner to access the BCM in order to find witch door was acting up? And seems like just trying to lube the pin switches before removing the door would have been my first option

  • thank you for posting these vids, duane. As an aspiring technician, I've learned alot from your channel. You are definately "passing the wrench" on a very grand scale! Thank you again!

  • How much labor time was this, 4 hours?

  • 50/50 chance of a call back on this one. The switch must be a dealer item and not ready available. Going that deep and not changing the part is risky, in my opinion.

  • @midlantic1 I hate to say it but i have to agree with you on this one. Great video tho

  • @midlantic1 I was thinking the same thing, besides when the customer sees the labor time ($) on the bill, wont they want to see a new part instead of just labor? I would try to save the customer money, but in this case, I'd buy the new switch.

I watch this transmission repair channel here, and whenever a trans is torn down, they want to replace the damn converter, saying that it is contaminated with metal particles. BS. If they wanted to, they can clean it out easy enough.

  • @1PossumJenkins What show is that just wondering?

  • @DAQUAN88 It's a Youtube "channel" Larrybloodworth.

  • Good vid. Duane, could you please do a vid, or part of a vid, on the best way to back probe wires . Close up would be appreciated. thanks.

  • @CoolasIce2 Hey I'd like to see the same thing!

  • Thanks, Duane.

  • Duane, I use Alldata for diagrams but the ones you're using look different, perhaps better. What do you use for professional tech info? Thanks, Fred

  • @GPSNW You actually asked the exact question I had. We use Alldata and Mitchell for generic service info at school, but I've never seen Alldata point out the way switches function like it did in your video. Was this manufacturer specific info? Also, another awesome video Duane. Keep up the great work sir.

  • Another great video guys. I put you on my channel. I think you have great videos that will be helpful to many.

  • I own a 98 windstar like this one and this is a known issue for these models. This happens to my van about once a year but I have found a much simpler way to fix the problem that lasts about a year before it needs to be done again. I simply spray some liquid wrench or WD40 into all of the front door, and rear hatch latches and take some fine steel wool and clean the contacts on the sliding door which do corrode over time. This has always fixed the problem and the van is good for another year.
