Even now nothing is obsolete. Death Knights make great off tanks, but the Prot Warriors and Pallies are still the kings and queens of tanking. I personaly think Blizz needs to nerf Pallies a little more (no more invulability while healing or casting)

This video was before the expansion, and after all the patches, I have a feeling Death Knights have not "ruined" the game. Just changed it. Like any expansion.

I would be very happy if Death Knights could tank.

And they could, if they had everything the two tanking classes have, those being:

1) Shields (Yeah, parrying is totally enough)

2) A tanking spec (One that beefs up defense and aggro drawing abilities, stamina too. No, frost presence is not enough)

I know it came out and all but why would you worry in the first place? warriors and pallys both had that? but any way pallys are still best tank so that didnt chage much really all dk are good at is kicking ass in duels... and no i am not hating on DKS they are my fav class :)

No one can say pallies are overpowered? WTF Ok first of all there stun is a joke. If that wasent enough they got the power of a warrior, and of course when they are losing they will cheaply heal them selves.

So basically they knock you out like a rogue, and they dont have to stealth they can just freaking run up and your stunned because they can wear great armour. Then they get all the first hits and just when you think you damaged them. They heal themselves and own you.

I dont care what level, where you are, or what your doing. If your injured, already fighting, AFK, or a much lower level then me. I will gank you. Why because paladins dont deserve a fair fight because when ever there involved there is never a fair fight. I just wish I could kill pallies my level, but as a hunter It is very difficult.

I currently got a 77 DK and I noticed something, we got the potential to be OP, but only to a skilled player, and literally speaking 95% of the population on WoW is not skilled... they play without taking in alot of info and learning the game mechanics. As a DK I rape anyone who doesnt know what their doing, but someone who knows how to play definately gives you a run for your money... the way to kill a DK is to stay out of range for them to regen by dps'ing you. (Blood)

Really, my 70 Pally that had Vengeful Glad gear had to bubble and throw some heals to kill a DK almost 3 levels lower than me. That is alot of power against a Ret Pally. No one can say Pallies are OP now.

no for a raid a DK is a better off tank cuz it just cant take as much damage prot wars and feral druids r still the best but DKs r much more fun to play i no i'm a frost DK

You've kinda got a point. BUT! the DK is not invincible at all. infact their kinda easy to kill i myself have a DK and you can own one on 3 diffrent classes: warrior,paladin and mage (quite hard on a mage) but yeah i agree they are way over powered.

I think I share your worries, last night I was playing alterac valley and I found my hunter the sole non death knight in there, and I mean both sides were only death knights, that sucked so much, of course there were people from other classes at the beginning but they quit the battle very soon, my equipment is, well most of it epic and still I got killed in single combat rather easy (guys my level), I feel very unsatisfied, I just hope Blizz is gonna strip DK some power in the next patch.

No there will be no class thats usless its just like paladian tanks and warrior/druid tanks. Death Knights realie rely on spells and there mele. So if there is a boss that is imune or is easier to tank with just mele, the raid would be stupid not to bring a warrior for it or druid to tank it. And you know what the DK will have bosses that it can tank the best.

If you actually read things blizz put out about the game, you will realise that all the tanking classes (pala,druid,warr and dks) will be around equal and all of them do around the same dmg and threat. So no each tank will be just as good and it all depends on what people prefere to play.

Look at EVERY single Character you see when you log into WoW and Enter The World on one of your toons. Each character is 15$ a month to blizzard. Imagine Every character, Horde and Alliance, In EVERY server in the game. Thats... Millions of dollars.. Blizzard's not going to do something drastic like making the Death Knight to OP to deal with then they would lose all their money. Thats my opinion.

If Death Knights could use shields then It's possible, but if any raid bosses have an ability like Illidan's shear then You'll need a Warrior or a Paladin. As for being good at Tanking and dps, fury warriors are great dps, as well as Feral Druids in different forms. Prot warriors are having their dps increased and well, more to the point, Death Knights are not going to make anything obsolete. Thinking so is just stupid.

they cant dps and tank its one or the other such as a warrior u either choose arms or prot or fury u choose frost thers ur tank u choose blood thers ur melee dps and if u choose unholythats ur main casting tree along wit some melee

No, dude. Blizzard is making the death knight strong yes, however when they hit 70+ all the other classes are equal. And no, they can NOT DPS and Tank at the same time, between the three talent tree's you have Blood, a pure DPS/Self heal spec, Frost THE tanking spec, and Unholy, used for summoning and fun things with disease and corpse'

Truthfully it's like every other class with a pretty new word in front of it ("Hero"). So sit back, relax and join the Death Knight spree.

Blizz wouldnt let that happen and if they see that its going to turn out that way then DK WILL be Nerffed big time! But dont trip i can see where your comin from Blizz always has a solution im sure this issue has come up in their meetings

Yes Blizz dose have a way with making sure everything is fair. But i just felt that when everyone is rolling a DK then it would take away from the class varity of the players.
