The Usage of the duff is a correct hadith, the hadith does exist, but actually it also boils down to the intention behind it.Because normally just normally,the other instruments like guitars and such are assosiated with music of different nosensical genre. So as long as the Music brings you closer to Allah,Islam and other Islamic issue that might help you,then the music is considered as halal.
