  • I like Matt's tee shirt :)

  • How come so many of the dumbass theists that call the show have accents?

  • This guy needs a serious dose of stoning, sounds like he´d enjoy it. What a plank of wood.

  • Comment removed

  • @yatter1 My bad, I thought you were talking about matt at first lol

Your comment pissed me off for a second.

  • @espnfan54 hahaha, no worries, done that myself, I didn´t really make it clear who was referring to.

  • christianity is the biggest insane cult on this good planet.

  • i'm real ok with stoning christians if they insist of fucking saving me with their endless bible thumping.

  • @spiegeltn I say YOU are using the bible for evil.

    Prove me wrong.

  • @DonMezzo Oh I have something good for you sir. What about the religious Christian that preaches the Word his whole life and obeys the commandmants and his life is 98% sin-free and therefore thinks his righteous deeds is the thing that qualifies him to go to Heaven? He is wrong.. "our greatest deeds are as filthy rags". As the religious people that went to the temple... tithed... obeyed commandments.... were also the people that killed Jesus. They were accusers and self righteous. Hence... evil.

  • The contexts in those two versus are totally different... the Bible even says the devil knows the Bible back and forth... ever hear about the part of the Bible where satan even used scripture to temp Jesus? What can we learn from that you say? That anyone with an evil nonbelieving bias can try to manipulate any sciptures taken from selected parts to make the Bible seam contradicting. If you do enough research... there sre so many Truths and fulfilled prophecies that it is undeniable.

  • @spiegeltn It's a beautiful piece of logic sir. It prevents any possible criticism of your "sacred" text, since any criticism - reasonable or otherwise - comes from evil bias!!! We don't manipulate bible passages - we just read what they say. There are NOT "so many truths"...it is undniable as you claim - there is a great plasma of incoherent contradictory rubbish!

  • @garethb1961 Agree to disagree but tell me this. When you see Biblical verses. Which do you look for first? Something you can criticise and call contradictive. Or do you even see ANY of the other 95% that makes total sense? I'm sure I know. Good day sir.

  • Psalm 14:1

  • @spiegeltn

"The fool says in his heart, there is no god"

    - Psalm 14:1

"Whosoever shall say, you fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

    - Matthew 5:22

  • Logic owns ignorant religion proponents once again.

  • Why does God have a ass

  • @bertini51

    He has several million asses.

  • @bertini51 Because he loves holy shit!

  • Hey man....*I* hate the Loch Ness monster. That fucker keeps asking me for $3.50.

  • @DashCat9 Hhahhahahahahahahahaahhahaha

  • @DashCat9 bigfoot took my wallet , and say jesus told him to

  • I love the part at the end with George Carlin! Probably one of the FUNNIEST things I have heard from his mouth! And yet so true

  • By listening to this guy talk I have finally realized something (yes I am very slow so don't poke fun) That God acts like a COMPLETE CHILD! When I was a kid I used to dream about having the power to kill people If they disagreed with me. (I was just a kid then) I wanted everyone to love me and wanted the people who didn't to be tortured.... Wow sounds like the way the God in the bible acts doesn't it? Plus he loves toying with people and doesn't give anyone a real reason to have faith.

  • @Thenewfallingsacred Thank you for the public admission! Not many would 'fess up to that! Some adults live out your childhood fantasy too, it should be said. God is infantile, yes - but he IS God!

  • @garethb1961

That you actually think a God who could create the universe that we see, well beyond our comprehension, has such infantile views... only highlights the absurdity of your entire religion.

  • @Vire70 I am an atheist. But hypothetically, If the Christian God did exist, all the cruelty and stupidity in the Bible wouldn't be cruelty and stupidity. It would be you and I who were wrong. All I was saying was that having childish fantasies about destroying people is different to God's killing of people. God's is righteous, by definition.

  • @garethb1961

No, god is only righteous by the Christians retarded amoral system of morality, wherein anything god does is automatically right and therefore god cannot ever be wrong. It's no different from a dictator with supreme power (say Hitler) who decides to just start lopping heads off and has the masses think "Oh well he's so wise he MUST have a great reason for it!"

It's still cruel and stupid, the religious are just so gullible they will actually buy this half-arsed excuse about it.

  • @Vire70 Man, I am just being hypothetical. I am an atheist, I find the Bible moronic as you do. But if it were to be the word of God we would be awfully wrong. What the creator of the Universe says about anything is correct by virtue of the fact that "He" created it.

  • @garethb1961

No, we wouldn't be 'wrong'. If God is a sentient being then it is entitled to its own views on what is good\bad, right\wrong etc. The point here is that these aren't objective truths; they vary dependant on context, experience, so on. There's no way to say 'This thing is absolutely wrong' because change the context and it may not be. To state that God can be right about everything is to completely misunderstand how subjective perception works. It doesn't matter if its a God at all.

  • @Vire70 So you are a moral relativist. So am I. But my moral relatiovism is a consequence of my atheism. If I was wrong about God the Creator then there would be an absolute morality - the one dictated by Him.

  • @garethb1961 Well, my wife and I created a couple kids..... so like, whatever we feel like doing with them, or to them is correct then?

...If we ever develope AI to the point where we can create a self aware being with "free will" who thinks and feels, with empathy, wants, desires, needs, etc... all their own... Are they still subject to our every whim? Or do they deserve to have a say when it comes to their own rights and morality?

  • @blfry Nice analogy at first glance - but you really can't compare creating kids to creating the Universe and everything in it. God, the Creator, would have created the 'moral fabric' of the Universe - if such a thing existed. The Creator cannot be wrong - unless the Creator had the same lack of control over his creation as you had over your kids

  • @garethb1961 Well, depending on which kind of god you believe in, who's to say that "god" didn't just get the ball rolling, so to speak, and let evolution take its course? ..But I'm guessing you're talking about a specific god who basically said "ALAKAZAM!" and BAM! There were moddern people walking around, ...and dinosaurs are just something the devil made up? ..Bible god is logically proven to be either imperfect or evil, by the way.

Also, you avoid the artificial intelligence question.

  • Christian ignore all the ugly stuff in the bible, and just concentrate on all the love thy neighbour crap. Everything in the bible is to be taken literally, unless it is proven false by science, or becomes absurd according to the current times ... then it should be taken symbolically. That's how Christians work.

  • Comment removed

  • Why can't Christians admit that the Bible does have some ridiculous laws in it. Like this caller actually thinks it's okay after a period of time?? That's what religion does to you. Any normal person would never think it's okay to stone your child. But religion convinces you that it's okay to do so. I wish people could just have a mind of their own, instead of needing to refer to a stupid book to figure shit out for them.

  • It's pathetic how Christians have to grasp at straws and just will do anything, believe anything, say anything, and justify anything ... just to defend their belief in their invisible friend. That's how stubborn they are. No matter what absurdities you point at them, they'll hesitate a little ... and think of ANYTHING to give reason to continue their worship. It's a pride thing for them. They just can't let go of something they've been wasting time on their whole lives.

  • @lesliekwan80 You have to keep in mind one thing. Christianity, like pretty much any religion, provides an answer to that ultimate question that pretty much crosses the mind of every human. "What happens after we die?" For them, if they believe hard enough, their invisible friend accepts them into a realm of eternal bliss. If you challenge those beliefs then you threaten to take away the invisible friend, and they're forced to face the unknown again, which is a scary concept.

  • Debating with theists. It's alot like pealing an onion. Apply the logic knife to strip away one layer of bullshit and the theist will come back with an excuse. Apply the logic knife to the excuse, they'll come back with another excuse. Repeat as such and eventually you always get to the part where they either say "Lol I'll pray for you", or they just get flustered when they don't have the answers. Bottom line, logic and reasoning is the worst enemy of theists everywhere. No exceptions.

  • @DathanielTDK I like to term it "intellectual dishonesty".

  • @DathanielTDK And at the end of it all, you just have lots of onion peel and are crying because their logic is so retarded

  • @Brendan9895 Quibbling much? That comment is a lot like a child saying "OMG that's so retarded" when his parents tell him "No" to whatever. The logic is pretty simple really. Jesus loves us, but if we don't believe in him, even if we have lived good lives, we're going to hell, but he'll save the mass murderer who does believe? Sounds like an egomaniac to me, and something so dumb only humans could create it. Was going to say primitive humans, but here we are, still believing this shit.

  • @DathanielTDK I hate religion for that very reason, it makes absolutely no sense, creationists especially who are willfully ignorant

I am an atheist so I am going to hell even though I want to stop animal cruelty, I don't care though because anyone who is going to punish me just because I don't worship them is an egomaniac of the worst kind.

  • @Brendan9895 layers and layers of peel - an no onion!

  • lol pwnd!

  • Ted Haggard is completly hetrosexual. derp derp lol =p

  • "Bronze age thugs", is exactly where Christianity came from.

  • "You look at death like it's the end all of everything, but I don't. God'll sort 'em all out." That kind of thinking is dangerous, and it scares me.

  • 6:16 the scumbag do it again

  • if i could get just one believer, ever, to honestly open their eyes long enough to admit or even consider for a second, how obviously utterly obscene, evil, and insane is this concept of a "God of Love" who sentences finite beings to an eternity of conscious burning sadistic torture, with no redemptive purpose whatsoever, simply for acting according to the nature he created in them and failing to believe things without evidence, i would shut my mouth permanently.

  • I havnt heard George Carlin but i would probably go with raiansama, I should still get half a point for Rich Hall though.

  • whos the comedian at the end????

  • @bluffr22 George Carlin

  • @raiansama yeah found it, thanks!

  • @bluffr22 From the voice I would guess Rich Hall. That's only my guess though.

  • George Carlin

  • Love the Ted Haggard-song.

  • matt ure the man bro teach me or give me some of ure knowlrdge

  • I don't hate god, That's like saying ,"I hate Santa". How can you hate something that doesn't exist ?

I don't hate people who believe in god, whatever if you need it, i guess. It's hard to despise anyone who's a victim of indoctrination from birth.

There are so many people that "sort of believe" because they're just too intellectually lazy to dig al little, or it's traditional or comfortable.

Funny that so many who gladly take a "leap of faith" are so reluctant to take a leap into logic.

  • @OneWarmDragon But he had such good ideas in the Bible. Like not eating pork. It's bad meat. It's not like we have something really hot to put the meat into so that the parasites and bacteria in it die and it is safe for human consumption.

  • @werebee lol. I find that hilarious. Just like when Christians whine about homosexuality, yet ignore EVERYTHING else in the old testament. Christians are such silly ignoramuses.

  • @OneWarmDragon The worst thing is including creationism in schools.

  • Matt is not an athiest he is a G-d hater. A lot of adults ( actually about all ) don't believe in Santa Claus. Do you hear or see people going around trying to convice the world that Santa Claus isn't real? Why the mission of stopping people from believing in G-d? What is it that Matt can't do in life because I believe in G-d? Isn't that Matt's argument I believe in G-d. So my belief is making Matt's life so miserable. Matt you want to explain this to me ?

  • @michaelragnanese I'll explain for him. First, you can't hate what you don't believe in or what has never been proven. To use the Santa Claus analogy, you wouldn't hate Santa because he doesn't exist, you'd hate the idea that grown adults actually believe in him. The belief itself isn't necessarily the problem, it's the indoctrination of children with false ideas. If you tell your kid "Santa" is bringing presents, and you don't buy the gifts, your kid's going to be pretty disappointed, right?

  • @michaelragnanese What a failure of an analogy

  • @michaelragnanese Matt's busy...but allow me. If the world were populated by people telling us all that we'll go to hell for not believing in Santa, if Santa's supporters were trying to teach bullshite to children & prevent certain adults from being able to marry the people they love...you betcha, those of us who don't believe in the fat charlatan would be speaking out very loudly. Oh, and btw, Matt hates GOD (note the spelling, you seem unsure) with the same intensity as you hate Big Foot. See?

  • @michaelragnanese If believers in Santa went around attempting to make laws based on Santaism that effected nonbelievers' lives, you'd probably feel more inclined to speak out against belief in Santa then wouldn't you? At least, most people would. His argument refers to the fact that there have been many legal and moral issues presented due to belief in a god, such as attempts to push intelligent design into schools or arguments over abortion, gay rights etc...

  • @T3chEra ...He's saying you can believe whatever you want and he won't care, but when religious people make significant attempts to impose legislation or principles that are affected by their belief in a god, of course people are going to speak out against that.

  • @michaelragnanese Because Santa doesn't threaten to throw you into a pit of eternal punishment if you're on the "naughty" instead of the "nice" list, you dickhead! Santa doesn't provide anybody with an excuse to murder and oppress people by the millions either. Santa doesn't care who I have sex with or what kind of meat I eat. I could go on for a fucking year here but why bother, you're a MORON! Of course your religious beliefs make my life miserable! WAKE THE FUCK UP!

  • @michaelragnanese Even if you're a moderate and never murder or oppress in the name of your god (and believe me, you're only one divine revelation and a gun purchase away), You're insistence that your imaginary friend exists and that you're a good person because of it (you're not, you're a good person for entirely different reasons whether you know it or not), you lend your credibility as an otherwise good person to EVERY FUNDAMENTALIST CRETIN ON THE PLANET!

  • @michaelragnanese What Matt can't do in life because YOU believe in god is be free of dangerous fundamentalists that YOU support by insisting that the imaginary friend you have in common, is really not such a bad guy after all. GROW UP!!! You can't defend irrationality with irrationality! Give up your imaginary friend and JOIN THE FUCKIN' ADULT HUMAN RACE LIKE THE REST OF US!

  • If you listened to him in the video, you'd see he did explain it (and has many times). You're perfectly justified in believing whatever stupid delusion you want. However, as soon as you turn around and attempt to impose those beliefs (and the rules and structure that follow) on other people - which inevitably happens with any religion, as the individual followers are 'divinely' empowered - you are trespassing on basic human rights. Now, if you can avoid this, go ahead...

  • ya see what u eggheads dont seem to comprehend is the fact that all the atheism, unbelief etc wont change God nor Christianity in the world, the Gospel CANT be stopped. in spite of satans efforts people Do have a hunger for the Word of God, always have & will whether Christianity is a minority or not.

  • @62Elvis Yep, and there will always be those smart few among you Christians who are truly brave enough to go against the "words of god".

And Christians are the minority, as people learn about the science (or lack thereof) and the fallacies of the bible they're learning that it just doesn't make sense, just like jews, muslims, or any other religion.

  • @62Elvis The hunger is greatly diminishing, the youth that is growing up in first and second world countries is very atheistic. The creation of the internet abolished isolization of ideas. People are starting to look at things from many sides and there is plenty of information nowadays. Maybe religion will not be completely abolished because there always be nutty people but it's getting old and shrinking like crazy. Sorry to break it to you

  • "But he loves you. He loves you and he always needs money" <3 George Carlin

  • EVERY debate I have with a christian always ends the same way. Apparently I have not "opened my heart" to god or "submitted myself" to his authority or I'm "not sincere" or some other BULLSHIT! I'm fucking sick of it. I respect critical thinking and DO NOT respect FAITH! ... period! EVEN CHRISTIANS do not use the same mental processes of faith IN ANY OTHER FIELD OF ENDEAVOR! Why should we afford this mental process ANY RESPECT WHATSOEVER?!

  • Everything people know about Christianity stems from a book.. That is all I am gonna say

  • Long live reality. Long live atheism. Death to religion. Its got lots of BLOOD on its hands. Religion is evil. Period.

  • @mrjollypantsjolly Just like Obi wan said to Anakin...." Then you are lost"

  • @Tom6093 Thats Ok my friend, I would prefer to be lost than believe in fairy stories, elves,, imaginary friends etc.

  • Nice...he tries to justify stoning people to death by using all these tricks...what a backwards way of thinking.

  • tell the callers this fact: the bible is pure astrotheology.

  • I have to say this, at the risk of being ripped open. Being as critical as these atheists are, they will not be open minded to anyone who oposes their non belief. They have an argument for everything. They are spirtually closed down and will not budge. They are the lambs that have strayed and live for the world, and have fallen for the enemys lies. Knowing science will only prove physical actions and does not include the spirtual. They only live for what the eye see's . Thats why t fail

  • @Tom6093 "They are the lambs that have strayed and live for the world, and have fallen for the enemys [sic] lies."

Do you have any evidence that the "enemies" are lying? You seem like a liar yourself.

  • @Tom6093 for what the eye sees. and microscopes. and dna. Us atheists like to have proof and evidence. Weird as that sounds.

  • @nilbog44 yeah wanting to know the truth is so weird.

  • @Tom6093 they have an argument for everything because all the false proofs that religion comes up with have been debunked

  • @CareFreeWherever They have debunked Creationism. They have evidence for evolution. But as far as debunking God, No !!!!Alot of you radical atheists seem to jump the gun just a little bit. Faith to alot of us doesn't mean fact. But it seems to me alot of you radical atheists seem to think that because a book is debunked, then there goes the deity. Lol....A little pre mature.

  • @Tom6093 As an Atheist, I have stayed open minded to the idea that there might be a higher power. However, no god claim has been backed by evidence enoughto convince me. But even if someone proved that there is a god, that doesn't default to, "it's the christian god." Why don't you believe in Votan, Thor or Ala? Because you're an atheist too, just in regard to gods other than yours. That's hubris not humility.

  • @Tom6093 "Faith to a lot of us doesn't mean fact".Most honest thing I have ever heard any Christian say. You really don't care whether your beliefs are factually true, you're just gonna carry on and believe 'em anyway. And we're supposed to respect this? It's pathetic beyond all reason. And what the fuck is a "radical atheist"? Are you a radical afairyist?

  • @Tom6093 Your definition of what it means to be open minded differs from mine. Being open minded means IMO to accept that other people think differently and to be willing to listen to the arguments they have for why they think so. It does NOT mean that you have to accept all arguments as equally valid.

Without critical thought you're not open minded, you're gullible.

  • @Griexxt I've tried to explain this concept to christards over and over. Any supernatural explanation is a cessation of learning because it is essentially a claim that since you don't have an answer you're just going to invent one by pure imagination. "I know because I don't know" is essentially what this works out to. It's not open minded, it's inherently closed minded because it's an insistence that you've found the irrefutable answer when you haven't.

  • @MrMZaccone "I know because I don't know". Perfect, just perfect. Mind if I steal that to use in a painful debate I'm having with a moron who thinks fine-tuning proves God?

  • @Ellie8969 Use it all you want, I think I probably swiped it from somebody myself and all I've really done is restate the logical fallacy called "argumentum ignorantiam". You might mention to him that 1. The universe isn't all that "fine tuned" we just happen to live in a "Goldilocks" zone, somebody has to. If it's fine tuned for anything, it's fine tuned for black holes, not life. 2. Any "laws" that we've observed in the universe are descriptive not prescriptive and therefore prove nothing.

  • @MrMZaccone Yeah...tried all that. But he knows what he just knows, right? What gets me about this particular twat is that he's using the physics of acknowledged atheists like Penrose & Rees...quoting the life out of them in order to demonstrate that this "fine-tuning" conundrum exists, but then disagreeing (without evidence) with their ultimate conclusions - or at least, inventing his own. Annoying with a capital A.

  • @Ellie8969 This is called "quote mining". It can usually be remedied by you finishing the quote or quoting from the same source to support your point (if they ARE acknowledged atheists, that shouldn't be hard) and pointing out to our christard friend that what he's doing is a form of "bearing false witness" and a sin.

  • @Ellie8969 At some point though, you just have to go with Thomas Jefferson -"Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them..." Then just make fun of the poor deluded bastard mercilessly. Keep in mind that this isn't the whole quote either, Jefferson was referring specifically to the idea of the trinity but at least it's being used in the same spirit as it's original utterance.

  • @Ellie8969 The anthropic principle may be useful as well.

  • Elvis... will u please leave the building

  • @alilsassy2 i will when God (Jesus) tells me to & u aint Him.

  • the gospel of Jesus Christ is being pumped into Austin, texas via the SonLife Broadcasting Network (Jimmy swaggart Ministries)over Time Warner (chnl 274 i think) also chnl 257 (dish network)& digital tv chnl 17.3 YA CANT STOP FAITH IN GOD'S WORD!!

  • @62Elvis Oh yeah, Jimmy Swaggart! He's that guy that can't stand rock 'n' roll but loves fucking hookers, right? As for stopping faith in god's word, faith is on its way out. Soon to be all but a fossil in the dinosaur graveyard of human thought.

  • @Gaybykersonacid I doubt you were possessed by the devil, first of all, and it's not up to me to prove what you claim is real, it's up to you. You think you were possessed, so you get to prove it. If I told you I had ESP, it would be up to me to prove it to you, not up to you to prove that I don't. Seriously, you should leave this place before you get hurt. These people are much smarter than you.

  • @Gaybykersonacid There is only recorded proof of exorcisms taking place, but not even good evidence that there was an actual demon to be expelled.

  • @JesusBuiltHotRod So do Iron Man comics!

  • The caller on the phone sounds like a psychotic, potentially murderous, monster more than eager to kill someone for his imaginary invisible man.

At what point do we call some theists insane?

  • @Numinous123 Theism is ALL insane.

  • This is why I love Atheist's, we actually do our homework and look for answers/the truth. We dont just go heads up against a Christian just saying "you're wrong." (endpoint) Great job. Great video.

  • Atheists are just as ignorant, rude and nasty as Christians. Neither side can prove their theory. Christians have historically ostrasized, attacked and ridiculed those that hold different beliefs from them and atheists do the same shit.

  • @TaharkahX thats not true. i know alot of good christians and atheists. we dont argue and ect. also christians have to prove god is real. we dont have to prove anything. all there is, is one book that is very old, remade by ancient man for things they couldnt understand. i do agree that religons, not just christians have done that in history. but i dont think was ever a war about non belive. i dont belive are huge genocides of athiests killing religus people.

  • @TaharkahX Only difference being that atheists are on the defensive by default, as Christians are on the offensive by default, since Christians are the ones making the positive claim.

  • @TaharkahX I don't think anyone on the atheist experience is ignorant rude or nasty :\ I think you should watch the incredible patience of these wonderful people in other episodes.

  • Please don't conflate anarchy with chaos.

  • Any god that cares more about which religion (or lack thereof) you choose more than how you live and what you do isn't worth worshiping.

  • @Gaybykersonacid Why should I prove it? You said it happened, you prove it.

  • Prayer is the laziest way of showing you care about something.

  • God sounds a lot like Hitler...

  • the largest scientific study of prayer proved it is useless, in fact, it proved if you are aware you are being prayed for you are more likely to have health complications (not to say that prayers cause cancer, but they create 'performance anxiety')

  • Do you believe in Santa Claus? probably not. Do you hate Santa? probably not.

How can you hate something you don't believe in?

  • @Gaybykersonacid I think lithium would have worked better.

  • @Gaybykersonacid

If the truth isn't important to you, maybe you simply don't CARE that you're believing utter nonsense. However, it IS important to me whether or not what I believe is true. You took your delusion as "proof" that your superstition was true, just as a member of a different cult would take such a delusion as "proof" that THEIR superstition was true, but there is no reason to believe that ANY of them are true without evidence.

  • @Gaybykersonacid

You had the same sort of psychosomatic delusion that people of ALL cults have, and which they use as "proof" that their superstition is somehow "real".

  • 2 Crippled helping hands are more productive than 6 billion clasped in prayer.

  • Sire, the church of God is an anvil that has worn out many hammers. So the hammers of skeptics have been pecking away at this book for ages, but the hammers are worn out, and the anvil still endures. If this book had not been the book of God, men would have destroyed it long ago. Emperors and popes, kings and priests, princes and rulers have all tried their hand at it; they die and yet the book still lives.

  • “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9 “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 Who are you Matt Dillahunty to tell us what is right and wrong in your sinful fallen condition? Did God flood the world? Will God send people to hell for not believing in the savior Jesus Christ? Yes. God does what He wills and it is just.

  • @GunneLPercher If I have to account where the Quantum Vacuum came from then the believer in God also has to account where God came from. You are wrong and deluded anyway because anything independent of space and time does not have to have a beginning. Again, Quantum Fluctuations take place within the quantum vacuum at scales below Planck scales for area, volume and duration. Below Planck those values have no meaning hence space-time has no meaning. Educate yourself before you speak.

  • Hard to convince any who doesnt listen to reasonable argument and quotes the bible as facts to be believed so strongly that it gives them unshakable faith in god, good luck to them and the imaginary guy in the sky.

  • HEY!...............yetties are real

  • So much hate on here for people with no evidence for their beliefs, just because theyre convinced their correct (some for more reasons than others) doesnt mean that we need to be horrible to these people. so long as theyre nice to everyone i don't really care that much.

  • Of course the Invisible Man exists! I hear his lovely voice in my head every night! 8D

  • Where is it written that they were given time to repent?

  • anybody else get the "at all" correlation?

  • You could get 20 members of the same church and you'd get 20 different views!

  • @RadarKat73080 Exactly

  • idiot- there are no factions among atheits- im so sick of hearing atheists hate, reject god mock- when are they going to get that we DO NOT BELIEVE GOD EXISTS! you cant hate hate reject mock or something you do not believe exists!

  • @dancingnancy09 Well... what about regular fictional characters? No one believes harry potter or darth vader exist yet they are still hated and loved. On second thought this may be exactly what you're pointing out: believing a character exists is a separate matter from liking said character.

  • @FHomeBrew fictional characters exist in stories and/or movies- harry and darth exist when when watching the movie or reading the book-while they dont exist in real life there is a level of existence to love/hate/mock whatever-what Im pointing out is that to an atheists there is nothing to mock or hate- because an atheist doesnt believe that god exists at all-some believe jesus existed, some believe moses existed-but we do not believe god exists therefore there is nothing to hate or mock

  • @dancingnancy09 Yes. Atheists don't hate god. They hate christian ignorance.

  • @ultim4t32 absolutely!

  • @dancingnancy09 I do not hate unicorns :) see what i did there

  • @whitefire1997 same way I dont hate mermaids?

  • @dancingnancy09 What is funny is where hate for atheists came from in history. I read an article by Jesse Bering from Slate Magazine. It is hilarious in what people in the 1600s thought.

  • All atheists & including all people that have not come to the "saving grace of Jesus Christ" and asked God to forgive them of their sins will NEVER UNDERSTAND THE HOLY BIBLE OR GOD! Amen. You MUST have the power of the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit) residing inside of your heart & Jesus also in order to know God. In order to undertsnad the bible, understand God and who HE REALLY IS a person much come to God in FAITH and accept him. Atheists, & all people will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER KNOW GOD! Amen.

  • @idahopaula I used to be a devote catholic and, after intensive thinking, became an animist, what happened? I didn't have enough faith? I was tracked for being a priest!

Common sense is what happened, not lack of faith, my love for god and intensive reading of the bible made me realize how evil god would be if he existed and that I was more than likely worshipping the devil and I refuse to believe whatever created mankind did it out of pure meanness, I got too much faith for that.

  • @jonasgrant My Dear One, you have no faith at all. You never had faith from the beginning. I know this to be true as a person that is "converted and saved" by the GRACE OF GOD is filled with the Holy Spirit inside. The "old nature" of man is cast aside, not gone. The "new nature" of God steps inside of a person. Apostle Paul said, "take off the old nature and put on the new." So, if you were really with God and in God you would be a born again christian-not a Catholic. God Bless.

  • @idahopaula So, if I don't follow your faith, I have no faith at all?

  • @jonasgrant: No, you do not understand me. It is not my faith. It is God's faith for ALL PEOPLE on this earth-not my faith Dear One. It is faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Through his shed blood on the cross, his death, buriel, and ressurrection from the dead by the Holy Spirit. You see, if you tell God you are sorry for your sins and ask Jesus into your life to SAVE YOU. To wash you clean of your sins and ask Jesus to live in your heart forever. That way-no hell. Amen.

  • @idahopaula And if I don't, I burn in hell. My grand-father was an animist, a Naskapi Cree, taken from his family and locked into a christian school where they told him that everything he believed was false, that if he didn't love god, he would go to hell.

One day, he asked 'if I didn't know about god, would I still go to hell?'

The priest said no, that he wouldn't if he didn't know. My grand-father got mad then

"The why in hell did you tell me?!"

    You see my point?

  • @jonasgrant: Hi. First of all, Merry Christmas. And, May God give you many blessings next year. Peace be unto you my dear friend. The priest was ABSOLUTELY WRONG to abuse your poor Grandfather. Catholic religion teaches that you can "buy and earn" your way into heaven and you must go through "The Pope" to do this. BALONEY. What I meant about hell is a person must accept Jesus as their Savior. You come to Jesus and you are "saved by grace" and faith in him. You go to heaven forever.

  • @idahopaula Thanks, you too :) But my point is, from what I've seen in the bible, especially everything Leviticus said, does not make me want to spend eternity with god, and please note here that this is only the reason I quit catholism, I no longer believe in god and am not afraid of hell, I am simply pointing out that religion, no matter how hard it tries, will always be evil. Look at the pope, saying one should not use condoms to the poeple of africa who has an outbreak of HIV, it's murder!

  • @jonasgrant: Please, do not base your eternity on the teachings of men here on earth. Please, base your decisions on God. Leviticus was a book describing what God desired for the Israelites because they were "sinning so much" God took action. But, when Jesus came he FULFILLED ALL OF THOSE OLD LAWS and now it is totally different with Jesus. Please, do not base your eternal destiny on Leviticus as that is no longer the case. GOD IS LOVING & JUST & HOLY. HE LOVES YOU. JESUS LOVES YOU.

  • @idahopaula But you can't just take out the bits you don't like! Even then, Jesus was not as great as it seems; the bible advocates submitting to governments, Jesus said 'give onto Caesar what belongs to Caesar" (Forgive me, I read it in french, this is a rough translation) but what about Hitler? Forgive me, that's beside the point

The whole bible was written by men down here on Earth, how do you know which part to follow and which part to ignore? Isn't it a sin in itself to ignore any of them?

  • @jonasgrant No, Dear One. You must take the bible as the literal word of God, in it's entirety. No tid bits. The bible was written through the power of the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit.) And, the prophets and apostles that wrote the bible were under the power of the Holy Spirit. God's finger WROTE THE BIBLE-GOD WROTE IT. Through divinely inspired men of God that had true faith and belief in God and His majesty. Remember, Enoch and Elisha-they were "translated". Raptured before death.
