I had the pleasure of meeting Steve when I did a trackday in Portimao and we discussed a photo showing his helmet brushing the Armco at Macau. Steve said it was no big deal, it was just like getting your knee down! To which I commented no its *!*!*!* not! Seeing this video and Steve's comments demonstrates an ability for precision that perhaps goes some of the way to explaining how he wins Supersport in his 2nd TT and the Blue Ribband Senior event in his 3rd year, awesome, the stuff of legends.
That's what Steve makes so special. He is always so determined, whether he is on short circuit or on the roads. He knows what he 's doing. On the limit and defenitely no room for errors...

Well, that was very close....Ive been there in 2001, that circuit scared the h.ll out of me. I hope Steve will not crash like JD
