  • The grip is pretty good on concrete.........

  • The real question is: can it go over cars in traffic? I have no sympathy for other peoples lives so if there is traffic I would like to run them over to get to my destination safely and rapidly!

  • that guy is a asshole

  • I wonder what the dealer does with his Hummer-specific course now that it's been out of production for five years. I don't think an H2 or H3 will get through that.

  • @1903tx ... this is indeed a real good question. I will send an e-mail to Reeves and ask them. I just saw on Google Earth, that the testtrack still exists.

  • @wodanowitz ... 28° 3'7.28"N

     82°27'27.89"W

You should find it on GE

  • @1903tx .... Today, I got an answer from these guys at Reeves. They wrote:

    "Dear Wodz,

We use our Hummer Track for a parking lot ."

  • @wodanowitz Sad but true, if you look it up on bing maps and look at the birds eye view. You can see the area is filled with cars. You will need to use your hummer to push them out of the way, then hit the course.

  • @amaple312 ... I'm not sure, but I think it's water that got into the winchbox at the prior fording.

  • thanks a lot for posting this video.

  • @UnionKid15 .... your welcome

  • @amaple312 im pretty sure it was gasoline, ;) explains the bad mpg......

  • Any 4x4 can do this hummer is just saying its the only stock 4x4 that can do it.

  • YAY! It can do everything my rubicon does on a daily basis.

  • its sad that they made the Hummer H1 off of the hummvee only to short live its service for the absolute peice of dogshit H2 and H3

  • @richiefrickenrich .... well, the shit hit the fan in Iraq, so they needed all capacaties for building more Hummmvees. It's a shame how GM and specialy Rick Wagoner acted. They just killed the H1 just months after the ALPHA1 truly ruled with Duramax Engine, Allison trans and much more.

  • @1:50 onwards is amazing :)

  • @Fastcaruk401 ... thank you!

Excusame my mal espanol.

    Saludos, Wodz.

  • To prove the hummer h1 is better than any jeep or land rover, you dont see a jeep or L.R in iraq...do you?

  • @MilSimAirsoft1 Er... loads of the non-US armies in Iraq exclusivley use Land Rovers as their basic troop vehicle.

  • @blibbax ..... yes, but please dondt forget, that a lot of Armys that used the Land Rover, now took decision to replace the Land Rover ...... getting the new, the Mercedes G ...... for example, search the net for the Canadian Military and take a close look at these special military G models.

  • This isnt a car or a truck its a fucking amazing tank long live our huumers

  • Hummer H1 is the best 4x4 in the world but dumb General Motors fucked it up so fucking bad with their stupid H2 and H3. I hate General Motors!

  • A Hummer is not a car, nor a truck, but it's own kind; a descendant of the HMMWV; the ruler of the lands beyond the paved roads. Truly, like no other.

That is until now. The tree-huggers (no seriously fuck you for taking my future car away) shut it down. NO! The H1 will never be shut down. Just wait until the government is overthrown. The monster will return.

    LONG LIVE THE HUMMER!

  • @goober239 .... there were some rumors that the H1 would come back for 2010. Seems to take more time, but never give up the hope. Would be great if the Hummer H1 Alpha could return with its Duramax engine and Allison transmission.

    Hummer forever :-)

  • @wodanowitz

As long it is all original; with the 6.5L V8 Diesel Duramax, CTIS, all the accessories, military influence (ruggedness), 12,000+ pounds of metal, and the 5* crash test rating; I will buy one. Not to mention to have bumper stickers telling tree-huggers to shut the hell up.

Last thing, I don't want GM to produce it, (GM like sucks) but instead AM general.

  • Landrover, heck even some Russian trucks are incredible, but when it comes down in terms of power and reliability the Hummer H1 is overall the best!

  • i still think a unimog is better.

  • Comment removed

  • i can run that course in my civic

  • @lexmark136 I'd like to see that. Prove you can make it and i'll believe you. I'll give you a month to post that video. If you can't prove it then your comment has no liability behind it. Good Luck

  • @Retrospec01 i'll give you a month to get your father pregnant and post a video of it.

  • @lexmark136: Sorry that was already reserved for your mom. LoL. You make up such lame comments. They dont even mention the topic at hand. Whatever. You have 30 more days. Tick Tock. Good luck

  • even the water one? probably be over your head

  • @3312cdfp5674 Thats ok, I have gills, i can breathe underwater

  • thats a neat feature

  • your car would die though

  • @3312cdfp5674 nuh uh, I added a snorkle on my civic

hummer aint got shit on me!

  • hummers can get some too

so wouldnt your car float away during flood? since its so light?

  • nonsence. almost any 4x4 can do it

  • Landrover can do pretty much anything except go fast cos there suspension is amazin & very versatile u can change anuthing on a LR

  • Yeah but the hummers don't break when you do it all day. I'm saying this and I'm not a hummer man.

  • Land rover defender could easily do that :D

  • Just tell us how? We are curious.

  • @wodanowitz Having used both Defender 110's and HMMWV's in the military, they both have their good points. Both will wheel like mountain goats given a good driver behind the wheel.

  • @wodanowitz the landy would do that with ease

  • @wodanowitz easily hummers have zero flex try it on a axle twister you'll get wheels in the air until the lockers pull it out.id rather never lift wheels off the ground.

  • Cool as fuk

  • I didnt even know hummer h1's were still in production for civilians?

  • They stopped the civilian ones with the Alpha 06 model. This vid here is old.

  • what was the water that came out

  • We took a drive before filming. It's just water from the water fording bassin. The Hummer did not leak driving through the water....

  • i know my dad has a hummer h1

  • zburgera the reason i have a 2009 rubicon instead of an H1 hummer is rubicon is 30k new hummer is 130k i like the hummer much much more but im not a millionare and cant afford it, so congrats if you own one ur a self made wealth person or your an ignorant rich kid who has everything handed to him on a silver platter

  • i want one but i dont live in florida and i cant find any where to find one in colorado

  • I love the H1s interiour!

  • how long dose it take for the c. t. i. c. take to inflate

  • 10-40 seconds.......depends if you take all wheels or only front or back.

  • The h1 looks the best. I hate the h2 and h3 so much

  • Get some Jeep boys. You wouldn't understand its a HUMMER thing.

We dont need that gay sticker "if you can read this flip me over". By the way what replaced the military jeep?

  • looks alot like fun. great vid.

  • Thank you, I enjoyed every minute!

  • the original Hummer H2 and H3 are imitation!!!

  • if the trees r too narrow. then the hummer just run on top of the until the tree breaks and the hummer ceaps rolling

  • No matter what jeep guys says, this is the best STOCK off road vehicle ever made... No way a stock jeep can perform better, but with lots of mods and suspension probably will do.

  • Well, if there is no road and trees are 2 meters apart... Jeep will go between them while driver of Hummer heads back home to get chainsaw.

  • Upphew, well, if there is no road and trees are 1.6 meters apart...Puch Haflinger will go between them while driver of a Jeep heads back home to get chainsaw ;-) you never heard about that small but very capable 4x4 ? Go and google ;-)

  • no, hummer will just run it down and drag it back to the cabin for firewood

  • no shit the hummer can do all that it was made for the US miltary. for war

  • BEST OFF ROAD VEHICLE EVER MADE!!!

  • @theu18 I would be careful.. Hummer 1 yes. 2/3 whahahaha.

  • where is that hummer dealership..im really lookin to get an H1 and i cant find a place with resanoble prices

  • Reeve's at Tampa, FL

  • My Jeep Wrangler would be much more fun on this course. Granted, I don't have the 2 ton payload, but come on. There are spots I can go that a hummer cannot...and visa versa. Hummers are not for civilians.

  • stfu

  • wow, we meet again. why are you trying to get so much negative publicity?

  • I would really like to buy one of these but sadly do not have the money for it, even if u buy one used for the Military its exspensive. Amazing Vehicle though.

  • those are bad ass machines

  • im so gettin me one of them

  • its not a car not a 4x4 ,not a hummer,its a tank

  • Your right! :-)))

  • Let's see, a loaded 1993 H1 will cost me about $25,000 used but diesel costs over $4.50 a gallon with the 93 H1 gets 13mpg (highway).

I wonder were I can get a bunch of vegatable oil?

  • I had them both ;-)))

  • Can an H2 match the H1? Or is the H2 just made for smooth riding and good looks?

  • The H2 is much better as it bad Rapper image.

Yet it is no match for the H1.

  • Yeah, in your sweetest dreams maybe.

  • First see if you can own G-wagen or Hummer

  • You can't own shit idiot!

  • too bad your paycheque can't own either

  • If i absolutley wanted one i could get a payment plan like everyone els with a decent paying job here in Sweden. But why would i ? i rather spend that kind of money on a boat or a Cottage .

Btw My appartment cost 2-3 times as much as a HUMMER .

  • its paycheck not paycheque

  • hes in sweden.. they might write paycheque (like that) But thats just it. its not for everyone this guy obviously doesnt apreciate it like we do. In my mind id have a shank apartment as long as i had my hummer.. which is if i had money...i dont but id have a hummer if i did. i dont understand why there wouldnt be a hummer in the driveway of every wealthy person. but thats me.. HUMMERs rock.

  • When was this video made

2006 i am a BIG FAN OF HUMMER!!!!!! my favorite is the H2 and H1

  • Jim Joe Brown, this video was made many years ago.

  • I haven't read all the comments. I have been a fan of Hummer all the way back to 1994. I own a 2002 open top and love every minute of it. The best I could figure GM axed the H1 Alpha due to the new diesel emission sales changes in 2007, and the H1 not being able to comply without more changes. Being GM, and low sales of the H1, I guess they couldn't budget for it. The Alpha badge was to be the "high end" package for each the H1, H2, and H3. With the 2006 and on H1 only available in Alpha form.

  • How much would a 2002 be? I'm lookin for one from $1-$34,000.

  • 2002 perhaps $60,000 dollars!

  • I love the on-board, on-the-fly tire inflation and deflation. I didn't know the H1 had that: it's a neat gizmo.

  • Yeah, it's the CTIS and works very well driving on swampy ground, or soft sanddunes.

  • It's really sad to see the end of the H1 production. The H2 & H3 just don't live up to the rugged spirit of the H1.

    Absolutely brilliant piece of kit!!!

  • Yeah dude, looks like GM killed the H1 Civilian, cause there are too many humvees coming in, wich have to be reforced with body armour. To many humvees have been blown up out there. The 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha was truely the king. New Duramax engine, Allison gearing. Everything was made far better. And then, after a half year, they stop production.

    THEY ARE CRAZY !!!

  • agreed 100%!!! soon to go is the h2

  • I think so too, as the H3 is selling much better in the rest of world and they nearly got finished the H4 wich will be smaller again. It's a shame. HUMMER was such a great brand and this GM idiots ruined it.

  • exactly

  • Today I learned in the wikipedia, that GM has selled hightech Hummer H1 technologie to the Chinese, and now the Chinese are building an own Hummer called the Dongfeng EQ2050. So GM is a traitor !!! They are ruining AM General.

  • I think theres a video here on youtube with the donfeng, you can see a lot of similarities, some of them taken from expired patents and some of them (like the newer style H1 mirror) probably did get sold, at least in the back of our minds we can know that the chinese one is nothing like the true thing and the asbestos and lead paint its made of will fall apart and break down quickly!

  • The chinese should bring out a civilian version of the Dongfeng sometime in 2008. Would like to test it against the real H1. I suppose the chinese car will break into pieces at the first obstacle.

  • yup, and you'll never be able to find parts for it either :p

what year/body style hummer do you drive?

  • Right now I'm not living in Florida but in Europe. Unfortunately here I got no Hummer. For european citys the Hummer H1 is far to big and expensive. Car tax and insurance are skyhigh and the gallon diesel fuel is

US$ 7,30 ...YES Seven Dollars and 30 Cents.

Can't wait to get back to FL :-) and drive Hummer again. Mine was a green 94 Wagon. 4-Speed autotrans, CTIS, Ice Aircon, tinted windows. Normal diesel, no turbo.

  • nice! I love green, and a nice set of options too! unfortunately I do not yet own a hummer, but I will as soon as the opportunity presents itself!

  • That's it! Never give up a dream, go after it and catch it! I'm sure you will get your Hummer.

  • hell ya man im gettin one too... ive loved those things fore ever. unfortunatley i cant afford one right now .. but some day.. ill buy a beat up one and fix it up if i have to.

  • Hummer is far from 'high tech'.

The most important component of a HUMMER - suspension goes back to late 30's German 4x4's. And GM never owned H1. Even sticker on new vehicles had AM General on it...

  • Sure they have the AM General sticker on it, so what? GM buyd AM General. It is like Chrysler with Jeep. Chrysler was owned by Daimler. Ever seen a Jeep with Daimler stickers? Me either. GM wanted to make quick money, and they did with the Toymobiles H2 and H3. GM was the one, wich decided to no longer build the H1 Alpha, not AM General.

  • You obviously have no clue.

I owned 2 Jeeps w/Daimler-Benz sticker under the hood.

  • Who knows? In my country the Jeeps did not have the Daimler stickers under the hood. But you know, even if they are the same cars, each country has other dealer politic. One example: In my country you can only get the Jeep Rubicon with the 2.8 CRD engine, not with the fuel engine. Why? I dondt know. In Germany it is different again. Another example: Jeep Patriot. In the US-version it has a different nose wich makes it far better offroad. The European version, is lower and far badder offroad.

  • They do in US.

Again,it has nothing to do w/AM General.

AM General does not belong to GM.

  • GM never bough AM General - they acquire the rights to the name HUMMER. Even H2's with the GM sticker built by AM General. Also AM General owns production of 6.5 which they use to buy from GM. Alpha was built and canceled under GM supervision.

  • I see you are right, I'm impressed. I have a question, maybe you can help me. Why did GM as you say, build the Alpha with Duramax engine, Allison trans and all the other goodies, just to cancel the car a half year later ? That makes no sense to me :-(((

I thought GM gave up the H1 Alpha, because they needed that production line, to produce better armoured Humvees for Iraq.

Thanks for your posting, good to discuss with one who realy knows about that stuff.

  • Alpha ended up expensive mistake. GM spent too much money on development and totally disregarded fact that H1 market is very small.

  • Yeah, expensive is the right word. The Alpha was much more expensive then the normal H1 before.

  • GM aimed on military.Military did not wanted to have too many parts in supply chain. Alpha has numerous issues and the only thing that worth the money - Allison.

    I own white wagon.

  • As I lived in the US I owned a green 94 H1 Wagon. Do you have the Alpha? Wow, must be great, I love them.

  • Why would I own Alpha if I know it has issues?

    Mine is 97 Wagon.

  • Sorry, I missunderstood. So it has the same engine my one had, the 6.5l V8 Diesel with no turbo and with BTM. Nice rig :-)

  • My engine has Turbo.

  • got an 03

  • got the 01

  • AM general produces the humvee and H1, not GM

  • they built the alpha because they wanted a special model as the last h1's to be built

  • Do you mean the gear hubing system wich delivers power from the axle to the wheel? The same system Unimog has.

  • I meant independent suspension.

Many German 4x4 of late 30's had that.

Nothing to do with Unimog live axle or gear hubs. In fact gear hubs and independent suspension were used on Soviet APC's long before HUMVEE.

  • Okay, got it. Yeah, the east european countries have some realy amazing vehicles with independent axles for a long time. TATRA is a good example for this.

  • Sorry i was thinking about the hummer dealership in St Petersburg my bad. Cant even think straight.

  • Hi Deyo99, nope, this one is at 11333 N Florida Ave

    Tampa, FL 33612

  • do you have a website?

  • Is this the hummer dealership on Gandy BLVD right behind walmart. Because i loved driving by the dealership with all new hummers out on the lawn.

  • Very cool video - i like your G-wagon ones as well!

  • Thank you, I will post a lot more videos over the coming weeks.

  • Adrenaline rush at <6mph?

  • Why not? As Offroad Instructor I have driven several 4x4, but driving a Hummer H1 is always a special feel, a great experience. It's a kind of it's own. Jeep guy's try to explain this, with the words...It's a Jeep thing.

  • you should do the some video but use a normal 4x4 on the course then use the HUMMER to compare it to the normal 4x4

  • Yeah, I would like to see, how bigmouth defendertd5 would do there with his antic land rover in high range. It would break into pieces all over the first obstacles ;-)

  • jajaja I can do that in my 1960 Land rover in high range!! TRY A LAND ROVER!!!!

  • Your old Land Rover is a good historic vehicle. Yet I doubt, that you could drive up an 22 inch step, or wade through 30 inches of water. And you will get cross axled on the first object of this test track. Nevermind, I would be glad to see your Land Rover here on youtube. Land Rover are good cars, but there are others too. Jeep, Hummer, Unimog, Landcruiser and Patrol, just to name a few.

  • The Hummer may be able to do all those thangs, and all of them very well, but... when are you ever going to have perfectly 30" deep water, or exactly a 15" log?

  • I know what you mean, but I can not agree with you. Every carmaker today has it's test track build perfect for it's own cars, getting out the maximum in reference to wading, aproach angle and all this stuff.

  • great and serious video. This is a good off road , but i think diff lock better than torsen diff .

  • Yes, thats why AM General featured the TT4 Torqtrak System and later in 2004 Eaton Lockers wich worked pushing a switch. Old Hummers had BTM, Brake throttle modulation. To activate the lockers in front and rear, you had to step with your left foot on the brake and with the right foot, hit the gas pedal. This has to be practised bevor getting offroad in trouble.

  • thanks for this informations.

  • The course is great and also the truck, but I can tell you that almost all the people that go to the moust remote places dont have a hummer and they pass all the obstacles and arrive to their target. With a Toyota Land Cruiser you can go where ever you want and it can also go to places where a Hummer simply cant, because it is to big and dosent fit in the trail. And what they dont tell you is that if a Hummer gets stuck in the mud you are going to have a great time pulling that fat bastard out.

  • I agree with you. Same problem your talking about also face drivers of UNIMOG. Great 4x4 rig but once get stucked, you are in deep trouble. Thanks God, you come pretty far if you know how to operate your hummer correctly, that includes how to adjust your tyre pressure correctly to the terrain your driving.

  • GREAT VIDEO!

  • I love IT (H1 alpha !)

  • that video turned me on
