I am writing a paper about Nasser and the modern national project in Egypt... it is hard to find real connections from Nasser to today - thanks to Sadat and Mubarak - but I feel like there is evidence of its existence
Arab Union was not a dream, it was almost reality besides the Lawrance of Arabia lies, besides the scare of Western and USSR to see reborn the fourth qalifah.
Nasser was a great soldier, but the reunification needed more than one Leader.
@frikiko94 it needs more then one leader, it needs willing leaders across the area who would be prepaired to form one nation, and who have support of the people, they need to be fair to the people, and willing to give up 100% control of their country for the goal of arab unity, the protests going on in egypt, the ones in tunisia and yemen, protests across the arab world could give us such leaders, although this would be very difficult and unlikely, but unlikely does not mean imppossible...
@iraqiblaze I Hope that one day, we'll have a train from Rabat to Baghadad, and I hope that no one could open his mouth about us without be scared. REVOLUTION REVOLUTION REVOLUTION ! May the Gamal Abdel Nasser, Georges Habbash, Wadi Haddad and Abou Ammar pride and spirt be with the Egyptian People.
THE MB is run by US and British intelligence.. They tried to kill NAsser severl times and he had most of them killed and put in jail and basically said there were agents of colonialism which they are..
@xMaXiMuSx Well if that is true, you people need to stand up against this, think of your Saudi brothers who are fighting their oppressive government. Follow the three revolutions outlined by the great Nasser.
@Anachoreteee sir it was and is not propaganda. Nasser wanted to free the arab peoples of the tyranny of european powers, and unite them against foreign interests. Funny look what the US opposed nasser for Sadat and Mobarak. We must realize that the world does not revolve around us, and every nation should serve for their people not for foreign interests. Just as ours should serve us.

@StraussBR Yes, sad story, and yet it's interesting to note that the so-called Muslim brotherhood, is being funded by the CIA/MI6

The day where the Arab world is one country is the day we know that we have reclaimed our place as a unified part of the world.

@xMaXiMuSx Do you have any proof of this?

@slimv29
It's mainline history.. CIA agents have written books about how the funded MB against Nasser.. and right the US is installing the MB in Egypt..
