@GanjaClaus It's a good point thematically, considering the love story later, If Trin had been the one offering I am sure the scene would of broken down on a more seductive level.. However in Trin's character arch at the timeit would of worked considering at the time she was stand offish to all men, cursed with prophacy that whom she loved would be the one. This would put quite a burden on any heart, so at the "pill Moment" she would have not wanted to love Neo
