Hi and many thanks for posting this. I was a LCpl at the time in the PInfo cell and I edited together the Guns N Roses segment. I lost my copies over the years and haven't seen this in 10 years or so.
i was there towards the end of unprofor in the hell holl called Gorazde served with 1RWF i have many memorys good and not so good the smell was unbeliveable i will never ever forget my time there it haunts me today even watching 400 RWF walking off too the hill and leaving only 40 of us to defend the camp not from the serbs but from the muslims we were attacked more by them than the serbs in the closing time of
i spent quite alot of grapple 2 drunk and abusing the 2 can rule. Big thanks to our muslim boilerhouse worker who kept us warm and full of stron brandy, hes the hero
i served there in 93 as un fuel tanker driver and again 95 as british army tank transporter driver! saw horrors beyond belief and was shot at on a daily basis. big thanks to the pwo"s for the armed escorts you gave guys!
very bitter memories , 93,95&98 but this one was poor i can remember carrying the lady who owned the officers house, by stretcher to the med centre ,she must have weighed 17 stone the poor dear , i think she survived , the officers just stood and watched , cav officers . tossers .the pwo were a cracking bunch of lads..... bad times
I was there in 93, I have seen these video's before, but I have lost my copies, some years ago. I still remember these scenes like yesterday. I was a warrior driver.
Have you scenes from the village of Buhine Kuce or Krizancevo Selo, near Vitez after the massacre made by ABiH soldiers an Mujahedins on Croat civilians?
I am a former member of 1 PWO and this was a timely reminder of the crap we had to put up with day after day. This place seriously messed with my head for years after.
@dazinsheff Daz, Mike here former member and proud of 1PWO. finished in Ballykinler and joined Northern Ireland Prison Service, miss the boys so much. Berlin was ace when i was 17!! lol, hope your well, trying to get in touch with the old guard, please reply..over
My dad did service over there when this happened, he wont talk alot about it. He has mentioned hundreds of crosses on the shoulders of roads and the smell of the dead. bloody awfull is trully an understatement. thanks for the vid mate, i watched the film "The Warriors" the other day, brilliant.
