1) Yes they ship internationally I believe, check their FAQ page to double check.

2) Yes, they have licensed Season 2 of Digimon for a July release in 2 Collections.

Yeah it 'came out' but barely, not a single JB Hi Fi or Sanity in the state have a copy! :@

So freggin annoying, especially since I pre-ordered mine on Sunday. I'll be picking mine up on Friday as well + that's when my review will have to be :)

Mmm that's what I had figured, the sales from Digimon would've sky rocketed on day one and not stocking this by default (as opposed to only ordering if a customer asks) is pretty stupid.

But I think that JB Hi Fi barely knew about the release, cause it wasn't featured in their Stack Magazine even though they had a Madman advertisement for High School of the Dead. Ah well, atleast I have heard that some people have brought it and posted pictures on the Madboards :D

@toujourscharming Well when i went to Jb hi fi and checked if they had on pre order but they said that they do know about the release but they have not got it on pre order. And a few days later they had on Pre order.

P.S. Maybe it depends the state you live in to confrim the release.

I'm not sure yet, Madman hasn't said anything about it. But they have said depending on sales for these collections, other seasons and by extension movies, might be released. If it gets a release, then it would probably be in widescreen.

So help the demand by importing and telling your friends! Just remember that Australia is Region 4 and you need a multi-region player or an Australia player to play it :)

Yeah, if it sells well here (which it should) then I reckon Toei will start giving out license's to other countries for a release.

Hey I'm not 100% sure, but if you import the DVD's and put them in a Mac w/o opening DVD Player automatically, you can use the program Handbrake put them onto your computer.

I've done this with NTSC American DVD's on a PAL format Mac and it worked, so I'm guessing it's backwards compaitable.

I already got the first 2 seasons on dvd, imported from Canada ^^ And the movie with Danish subs ^^ Why did the not put on the Danish dub as the VHS version did. I do not want it in German, French, Spanish or Dutch... I hate SF-Film for doing that!

Cause I don't have digital copies of the series in good quality, so I used this instead. But don't worry about it, I wil post the real footage of Digimon when I pick up the DVD :)

Anyways, since when have ad's ever looked like what they sell? :P

No, Madman has said that since Saban never did a full dub of the original Japanese footage (as in there were all the dub edits), it is impossible to put a complete uncut version of Digimon english dubbed on DVD as it doesn't exist.

This release will be of the original episodes that we watched as kids :)

Three things. Number 1) This is totally awesome. I've been waiting years for the show to be released on DVD. It sadly hasn't happened over here though, which is part of number 2) Has any info come out about the DVD's being released in The U.S.? Because it does seem a tad odd that Australia would get a release before anyone else. And 3) What is that "Check the classification" thing all about? Does that have to do with the rating system?

Three answers :)

1) I know right! I have been waiting for ages as well and I'm ecstatic that it's finally happening.

2) Sorry so far I have not heard anything about season 1 being released in the U.S., also I also thought it was weird that Australia gets it first - especially considering the U.S. got Data Squad before Australia.

3) The 'Check The Classification' thing is Australia's rating system (as in the U.S. has PG-13 and Australia has M-15+)

When the DVD is actually released there will be a green one instead of orange to indicate for general exhibition (all ages).

It's kinda ugly but most Madman DVD/Blu Ray's have reversable covers without the classification which is a plus :)

Haha sorry, looks like the fangasm will have to happen another day. This is release is only for the 1st season, but I reckon if they sell a lot, the films are next in line.

I only put the film footage because I don't like cropping 4:3 to 16:9 for my videos, sorry if it's misleading :P

Haha not sure, Madman does a pretty good job at releasing anime so it'll be high quality.

Also probably 4:3 cause it was originally animated in that aspect ratio (well the series was)
