@tpatterson0 honestly you should play both :) completely different fighting game styles; soul calibur is more technical and mindgame heavy (and you get to create your own fighter how awesome is that?!), blazblue is lightning-paced, combo-heavy and has a completely different and wacky character play styles all around.

Its a good game. Its looks almost like the PS3 and 360 except it doesnt have intros,endings,and tower of souls. But overall, it's still a pretty fine fighting game for the PSP with good graphics, character customizations, and even KRATOS!!!

Honestly people, if you have Soul Calibur IV, and a PSP, this is a must have! I could fairly eaily adapt to the portable edition. The visuals are some of the best I've seen on the PSP, it's an all round fantastic game apart from having no Infrastructure.

Also, go figure with Dampiere vs Hilde <_< Considering she's the one he fights in the intro.

CFs happen so rarely. All you gotta do is press r1 or rb when your opponent gets a soul crush. to make em have a soul crush, they have to block alot of attacks.

dosent matter what version u have. do a hard restart. take batery out put it back in and before u turn on ur psp hold the r trigger to bring up the "bios" of ur psp. go to configuration and find "fake region (currently : Disabled)" keep changeing that until it starts. the CSO or ISO u downloaded should say what region its from when u look at the file from ur pc ex:[jap] EUA]

just match it up.

i beg to differ... SCIV is better than tekken 6 in graphics. the game play is about the same, the story modes both dont make much sense... but for Soul Calibur u can probably piece it more together but for tekken it sounds like its a mess...

Tekken 6 also doesnt have character creation which is a huge part in Soul Calibur 4. All Tekken has are different unlockable outfits for existing characters...

I havent played Tekken 6 but im sure Soul Calibur 4 is better...

Tekken's story got screwed up after Jin turned evil, no surprise there.

SC's story has remained consistent, nothing all that weird, except some of the endings.

However I have to say, the gameplay isn't really that similar, the only major things they have in common are juggling and Yoshimitsu.

Personally I like Tekken's combat better than SC's, but I think SC has more unique characters than tekken does.

dude customizing the characters is one of the best parts of the game. If it were out then there would be a huge hole in SCIV... after all, the strongest characters and some of the coolest ones are all ones that you design yourself rather ones you just repeatedly use over and over. Anyway I see your point the game is really about fighting the customization in SCIV is really just the icing on the cake but if u want think the cake is better without icying then thats fine by me.

It seems that Dampierre, while solid in terms of fighting, is a late-edition joke character. His mannerisms and outfit give me that impression anyway (As did his CF). Though I'm glad it looks like he's a decent character gameplay wise.

Yes, it is. They can combo, initiate JF... or wavedash at inhuman speeds with Setsuka. You're going to need pretty good knowledge with your mains to beat the high level opponents in the game. Though A.I abusing is still in if you want a cheap win.

nothing like that, there's no way a human would be that good trust me they block 90% of your moves including the holds... and the blocking system there is pretty complex, and besides there's no way you manage to get thee right block combination for the right hold, there's hold A and hold B, when you do them they start in the same way so there's no telling which one it is so u just hope u get the right hold blocking button, also they counter most attacks which is also hard

As for the choice between FF Dissidia and this one, it depends on wether you're a FF fan or not. As for me, I'm not exactly a FF fan so the choice was easily made.
