In 2009, SMU went 8-5 not 9-4, my bad.

Though June didn't have a good record in his first season (1-11 in 2008), he did lead SMU to a 9-4 record and a Hawaii Bowl win in 2009, and a 7-7 record (7-5 regular season record with losses in the C-USA championship game and the Armed Forces Bowl). As a Hawaii fan, I wish he had stayed in the islands, but as a football fan, it is nice to see SMU football on the rebound. The Mustangs should have a good shot at the C-USA championship in 2011.
