¡FELICIDADES!
Since we're dealing here with the mind and all minds are different all will see this art form differently. Some people only see surface things. All art...any art...is an extension or representation of the artist. art (any form) is accepted or rejected by the artist...not by the art itself. Andy Warhol Napkin Drawing, ca. 1983 is appraised at $30,000. Even though any child could do the same drawing and probably do it better than Warhol did it. But the Warhol doodle is Warhol in art form.

having watched and viewed some of your presentations deeply, I want to tell you that each and every artist is a medium, a channel for higher realms. So you might be able to manifest some unseen realities which occur only by inspired gifted artists. The question is always: who from the other side of the veil is manifesting him/herself by channels of the spirit and working through the artist
Color Field Art is interesting. The emphasis on color reminds me of the dynamically bold and vivid comic book covers from the 1970's. The books in my collection still excite a visceral effect on me. I have scanned many of the covers so that I can view them on my computer at any time without pulling out the actual books. Eat your cookies!
They look nice as a set. Great video! I got paintings but still working on editing ideas for youtube. Do you have any tips? You can see my vid on my channel. Thanks.
I'm not gonna lie I thought these kind of paintings where big splashes of paint on them until you put it in that perspective. I also think that when artist say what they see in their paintings it helps me see were they are coming from, like you gave your painting meaning. great vid.
Beautiful, art comes in many forms and happily this is one of them. It has a similarity to abstract art, in the sense that the meaning can be different for each person who has the privilege to view it. The meaning maybe as simple or complex as the emotion, and feelings that it causes you to have when you experience it. Thank you for another beautiful video.
I understand everything you meant about color field art, and your picture and the others you displayed in the video were quite nice (well there was one I didn't find very appealing) but I still prefer other types of painting. I prefer paintings of people, landscapes, and other discernible things, shown with precise detail, that's my taste anyway. Color field art just isn't all that interesting to me.
i think once an artist has shown how much talent they have, they can sell anything. It becomes more about who painted it than the artwork itself.
I'm not a fan of this art style however it does have its place in the art world..art is to express yourself in any way, so it is still art, even if a child could paint it
That's was sommaway delightful! Rare things which gimme some uplift, Val's vids, dunno why. "Things can't get worser" lol they always can. And evidently do. Proofs that "not giving up" is not futile unless you dive straight to emptiness lol
Very interesting to hear the theory behind this art. I still think it fails as a form of painting because it cannot convey the message through the painting. Val is an artist and when she's there with the painting explaining it, its art. Take away Val and the explination and it's nothing.
I've always had very creative and talented friends in a wide variety of artistic endeavors but never in painting for some reason. I've learned more about painting from watching your videos than I have from any other place. So thanks for that, and as usual, I really liked this painting.
i dunno. i think you are less cut for the abstract form judging from this one presentation. need more flair and surprising unpredictability. but perhaps you might prove me wrong.
Sorry, I love most of your art but I don't get the whole color field thing... Color is nice but it seems kinda boring. And one of the paintings you showed was three stripes of paint lol...
Yeah, at first I was thinking "yeah, what is the WTF?" but when I saw that second Helen Frankenthaler painting it really did give me that sense of "infinity." That picture is pretty cool, even though it is simple.
It's funny, I used to just think "art is art. Whatever." But these videos have educated me on the different types and purposes of art.
I love the mark making element of abstract art ....reacting line or color everyone can get something out these abstract painting.....lol i love art haha
I love this val :) i thought i wasnt very good at art when i was in school, due to my artwork not being neat. now i am older i now theres more from art. an you have just proved how easy and basic art CAN be :)
dont like that kind of art forms but much respect for it.. have u ever try Graffiti art style with paint and a canvas ???? will love to see it on ur video.
Really cool, loved those pieces you showed, i get the feeling you like Helen Frankenthaler? :P It's the kind of stuff i would love to hang on my walls. Don't forget to push your clocks forward folks!
Good video and great work on the painting. I dont look at art much now, but I always look for shapes in abstract things, just to see what I can, well... see.
I saw some Rothko paintings at Tate Modern in London and thought they were quite powerful. Just one or two colours, but they can be interpreted in infinite ways. A canvas just covered in bright red paint seemed particularly intense.
People the world over see the same things, formed in the same colors: plants green, sky blue, earth brown... so I guess color alone can say something.
colour is not a universal language at all. example:
In the western culture, the colour white stands for innocence, whereas in Japan, white stands for death. In the western culture death has the colour black.
the first panel is the morning with orange like a sun rise. in the second panel,i see a lot of yellow like the sun at its apex and the reddish color looks like shadows in the afternoon. in the last panel the red reminds me of rust and how the colors converge at right is like the conclusion of the day.
Wow, great duo here with you on one side and your sunset on the other. You look so cheery and full of energy, exactly how your sunset feels; the colour you chose perfectly reflects the excitement in your voice and manner. Seems you have conveyed your own sense of vibrancy into the painting :D
It almost looks like a an abstract city scape to me =D
I love color field art! People always think I don't like simply people I tend to paint more realistic things =/ It's nice to get lost in a painting where the subject isn't laid out for you.
Color field to me is the truth of ones feelings hidden, coming out wanting to be shown... You can try painting with bright colors when your down.. but you tend to choose darker colors and just the opposite when your hopeful.. to me.. that is Color field
I think this painting is meant to be seen as a whole- hehe all of them put together - are about 18" x 60" x 1.5" --- so the size its part of the effect :) if interested shoot me a line @ artandcookiesATGMAILdotcom thanks so much!!! va
@valsartdiary very well done val <3 I always love how you don't make the paint be two dimensional, how with the acrylic you use the paint sort of puffs out and you leave it that way! I like seeing the contours of the paint when the bristles of the brush smooth it.
I saw the the color field? You like and Val yours is the best. It inspires magic to me.

That was a joke. lol.
I was curious if there was anyway to purchase or win 1 or all of the paintings in this series? They really are beautiful and inspiring.

I think this painting is meant to be seen as a whole- hehe all of them put together - are about 18" x 60" x 1.5" --- so the size its part of the effect :) if interested shoot me a line @ artandcookiesATGMAILdotcom thanks so much!!! va

Hi guys!

@valsartdiary very well done val <3 I always love how you don't make the paint be two dimensional, how with the acrylic you use the paint sort of puffs out and you leave it that way! I like seeing the contours of the paint when the bristles of the brush smooth it.
