  • wasn't that the guy who got hanged, drawn and quartered.......

  • People saying Katherine was an idiot and should've been clever please remember she was only 16! She wasn't raised like Anne all she knew was about sex.

  • Catherine Howard never should have had an affair. She would've been married probably until Henry's death and probably would've had children over her own.

  • Stupid, stupid, Jane Boelyn. Betrayed her own husband because of jealousy of Anne his sister, set to spy on Jane Seymore, and met her fate with Katherine Howard. Stupid girl.

  • I am surprised the Dowager Duchess let Dereham get away with blackmailing her for prestigious positions and a letter of recommendation to be hired in the Queen's household.

  • Funny, she starts acting like a Queen when she tells Culpepper to "get out". Then, she changes her mind and digs her own grave. Dereham was an idiot, should of shut his trap.

  • @hpmoody Pity she didn't ask Culpepper to kill Dereham and Joan Bulmer. Those two were the ones that brought her down in the end.

  • @TheNuharoo I read on wikipedia that Culpepper was no great winner either. He or his brother was a rapist and used his position to get a pardon for the accusation. It's funny how when you look at these people you realize that most of these people were murderers thieves or rapists.

  • Dereham was ridiculously stupid. He knows he slept with her yet comes to court demanding favours. Manox stayed well away and although questioned, he could hold his own, wasnt tortured and kept his life. If i was dereham, i wouldnt have come within breathing distance of the court

  • @Rachie2k9 Nothing more than filthy greed and ambition.Nothing else and I wonder how things would have turned out if Katherine had been smart enough to ask Culpepper to wipe him out. Or if she had ordered him committed ot the Tower and had him assassinated. I'm surprised he managed to blackmail the Dowager Duchess.

  • @Rachie2k9 Forget breathing distance, it would have been a good idea to put as much distance between his body and the court as possible.

  • She could've secured her throne... if only she was as smart as her cousin Anne Boleyn. She could've been with child and gave henry a son.

  • Note her " fashionably" high forehead. For certain and to be sure, it was most certainly a favored style in ruling classed women a century later, I believe? Nonetheless, I welcome any conjectures/ educated opinions on the matter. Thanks : D

  • Wrestlemania, They weren't both beheaded. Dereham was hanged, drawn and quartered. Just thought I'd point that out.

  • @wrestlemania957 When their heads are on spikes in the Tower? Good eye; I hadn't noticed that.

  • As soon as I would have saw him and he tried this blackmail...I would clam he attacked me and be done with him.

  • What she should have done was to get her uncle, the Earl of Surrey on this. She should have commanded him to get rid of Dereham at all cost, to safegaurd her life, and her throne. As soon as he walked out the room, she should have called for the Earl.

  • @moonlightof1982 u r right i bet he would've done everything to get rid of Dereham

  • @moonlightof1982 I totally agree with you

  • @moonlightof1982

    agree to!

  • I think she shud have told Culpeper to kill Dereham!!

  • @kasandra211 im with ur idea kill Dereham!
