What a bunch of shite people are writing here... well... "Creep" is a good Radiohead pop song... not great like "Let Down", "Karma Police", "No Surprises" and "Just"... but well... I don't think the band look bored... Thom and John is into it... and Colin is smiling... Ed... well he is playing rythm guitar... and Phil's drums has always been straight ahead in this song...
I can't see why they shouldn't play it... It's their song... they can do with it what they want to...
haha... well you said it... i am indeed a creep/weirdo/idiot... but no I ain' god.. just shared my personal believes with you guys about the performance isn't it what thse comments are made for?... sorry if I pissed you off...
No, I'm sorry. I assumed you were just another asshole going around being an asshole... I sometimes get overly sensitive and comment without thinking. What actually pisses me off is folks going around flaming awesome bands and music just to stroke their own egos. Know what I mean? There is enough negativity on these comment boards. Sorry to add to it. Radiohead is one of my latest favorite bands. I am 44 and really just started to get into them recently. better late than never huh!!!???
Well apologie accepted. Maybe I AM an asshole. But I'm not trying to be an asshole in these boards. I think we got too many of these people in here for now. I also get pissed when someone's writing "hatecomments" on videoes by bands they don't like. Well, why even watch them in the first place? I am not writing hatercomments to all Celine Dion videos on youtube just because I don't like her songs. You know life is too short for shit like that.
And that is why it is great that you've got into Radiohead now!! Congratulations! I was 15 when I discovered them and is 20 now... and they're in my top ten of musicartists I admire deeply! Sorry if the english is bad... I am from Denmark... Nice to see one of my useless comments turning into something rather usefull for a change! hehe..
wtf are you going on about? where did you see boredom? they don't look bored at all.
"if you can't feel the emotion and hear the crowd then you are hopeless"
right on, jdchiller.
this is not just a great performance of Creep. it's a SINCERE performance as well. for once yorke isn't shooting the venom of sarcasm while singing the song. do you know how fucking rare that is? clueless twats.
Beautiful... just plain awesome. For those who think they see boredom here, pay attention to 2:50 into the song. If you can't feel the emotion and hear the crowd then you are hopeless aND probably never been to a decent show. Go watch some Spice Girls videos or Disney Kids so nobody 'appears' bored.
Don't forget, this song was a hit before their 1st album came out. Some of us have been true fans that long... and it's nice to see it performed despite the ignorance of some whiners/trolls.
true but you have to admit they all look bored, thom is the only one who is putting emotion, probably to sing it good, they themselves said it isnt good
I think the comment about "them being bored by playing it" refers to the band and not the crowd. The crowd is obviously not bored, they're just being fags. Come on people, this isn't a fucking gospel concert. I'd like to see you try to sing along to Fitter Happier, or even better, Hunting Bears. Those should be the only two songs they perform live from now on.
Haha, it's always so funny to see fans act so cool towards this song. I reckon they only do so because its how they separate "real fans" from "casual fans." Yeah, whatever, keep posturing. Acting cool for the sake of segregating? Hmmm, sure Thom would love that huh?
Agreed. I hate it when fans just scream unwanted support at Thom during his most intense moments of singing. The worst I ever heard was when a group of girls tried to start a clap during "Exit Music". Nearly ruined the song (The crowd had to tell them to shut up)
He does not have problems. If you've actually seen any recent interview with him he has concerns about the planet but they're concerns I think we should all have. top form in edinburgh
They do play Creep in coachella festival for the first time in years, and that seem to be a forced version. They seem to be so bored by playing it. But this time its like.. i dont know, but i think thom seems pretty sad, watch this vid and the vid for analyse in the mercury prize. i believe he's got serious problems now, just a few years ago (like in glastonbury 2003) you could see him dancing and playing around... just hope that everything it's in its right place..
They only played it because it was V, and the crowd was getting bored with the stuff that wasn't There There, Street Spirit, Karma Police and Just.
Going on reviews I've heard, and my experience, the crowd at Stafford was much more up for it. And they still played Creep there. And in Edinburgh a few days later.
I think they've kinda made their peace with the song. I don't think it'll become a regular in the set though.
God, what a load of rubbish people are posting here! I was there, only a few rows from the front and I can honestly say that the crowd were not getting bored and the people at V didn't only know their famous songs. My personal highlight was 'A Wolf at the Door'.
When they played Creep the sense of suprise was incredible, and everyone really really enjoyed it.
The last time they played this tune was 5 years ago in 2000 and then a further 4 or so years prior to that .. this tune has been retired but this was a BIG occasion ,so they pulled out the classic, its simple really
YES THEY CAN! I don't know why all you guys are knocking the song. They don't play it often now and it is unquestionably a good song. Watch thom closely, I don't know how you could call him bored.
i do question why they played this song, they hate it - it nearly destroyed them, people used to go to their first tour for this song only and leave. early. 'My iron lung' is all about this song and it aint complimentry. Still they dont overplay it live, its only on MTV far to much, this is the first time in years they have done it live.... and i bet they regret it now.
Phil's drums sound so boring in this song compared to their new stuff. hmmm...actually the whole song kinda sounds boring compared to their new stuff.
I was there with my girlfriend,one word,AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thom really doesn't like this song.
That's why he loves My Iron Lung and
why I was shocked completely when they
played it.
