  • I know you reviewed this a while ago, but were there any issues with heat?

  • how do you reinstall windows 7? Did you use a new retail version or are there any recovery disk?

  • @BurN368 No recovery disks, but you can make your own with Lenovo's pre-installed software.

  • this notebook sucks because it doesn't have the thinkpad's famous trackpoint.

  • @elmalloc because its an ideapad not a thinkpad. there is a netbook sized thinkpad available..

  • good review aussie.

i presume you can remap that Fn/Ctrl key issue? i too would find that extremely annoying, glad you pointed it out. thanks heaps. great review.

  • I'm sure there's some Windows software that might do that. There is no hardware option for the switch though - BIOS shows up nothing.

  • Nice review, but I think it would work better if you wrote down notes beforehand.. you seem to ramble and say "um" a lot. Also, I would have liked to see the ports some more.

  • I do use notes in my videos. Thanks for your suggestions though.

  • Saw an earlier review-you had already answered my question about heat. Thanks.

  • Comprehensive review except for any mention of how hot/warm case felt. Comments?

  • I usually don't have enough time to cover everything in these video reviews. The written article has a section on heat.

  • the left side of the lenovo ideapad u150, the US version (black) with the Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 Processor ( 1.30GHz 800MHz 3MB ) runs really warm on the left side. i would even venture to say that it is a problem. obviously the fan runs audibly to battle this problem and blows warm air out of the unit.

  • heyy - me again =D . i have to ask: Out of your three 11.6 inch netbooks/notebooks which is your favorite so far?

    Thanks!

  • My favourite is the Lenovo IdeaPad U150.

  • Do you know if the US Red U150 has bluetooth?

  • I don't know.

  • Thanks for the review. When you discuss noise, do you mean fan noise when the processor gets stressed? I have a HP dv3z that I want to replace due to fan noise. I need to be sure that I am not replacing another computer that is just as loud.

  • Yes, fan noise. (There's a little HDD noise too). There are various speeds from no fan spinning to full-on spinning when the CPU has been stressed for a while.

I keep wishing it was a just a tiny bit quieter, but only when I use it in a quiet room with no noise sources do I think this.
