Oh man I loved Last Blade 2, although I never played the 1st one. This reminds me of the penultimate stage of #2, in that dark forest with the blue lanterns, then you have to fight that huge guy at the end. Such an awesome game. I know its not gonna happen, but I'd love to see an SNK fighter like this get a remake (like they did with MK9). I could imagine it, even better than SC4 (somehow) and with blood spurts ONLY at the killing blow, and occasionally cut-in-half finishing moves, like LB2.
I love the way the trees looks. They feel illuminated in such a way they are like hand painted concept art. I would have liked to see some simple animation with the birds, a fluttering of the wings, or a turning of the head, but all together an excellent scene.
