I don't like it. It lacks the edgy feel of the original: it's a song about drugs afterall, as "Enjoy the silence" is. And there is no cello in the world that would fit any better the mood than the filtered synth in the original song.

... Heu, si une reprise peut-etre meilleure que l'originale ! exemple : "With a little help from my friend" par Joe Coker, largement au dessus de la version originale mais un peu culcul des Beatles. "Hurt" par Johnny Cash supérieure à mon sens a l'orignale de NIN. Pour cette version d'une chanson des Depeche mode, je ne la mettrais pas "au dessus", mais elle est quand même très jolie...
