I have nothing against George, but he just isn't smart enough to win big races. He won a B class race in Belguim a few in 2004(?), very little since.
Also he needs to stop whining. In 2009 TDF, if he put his head down and went balls out, like Cadel did racing into Pau in 2007(?) he'd have won the jersey- for a day.
I beg to differ. If you read "Lance Armstrong's War" it talks about George and I think he has both the brawn and brains to win the TDF but he needs a team that wants him to win. He was always second banana, but at the end of each race Lance gave George the 400K prize money. Lance doesn't need money b/c of his endorsements and salary, neither does George but it was symbolic as to his contributions to LA's victory.
My cat is named after Hincapie. The day I got my cat Hincapie won a stage in Tour de France. I remember sitting in the car thinking about a name for my dear kitty when my dad called and told me who the winner was.
