I think that the cybermen in series 5 and 6 are intended to be mondas cybermen, but their wasn't the budget to make new cybermen only to be written off as a cameo.
even in closing time which is the first cybermen story in a while they aren't in in enough to change them.
Also in series 6 the cybus logo is gone.
I think the next time cybermen will come back will hopefully be in a big cyberman plot with newly designed cybermen that look like the ones from Moon base

Yes I agree, now they have! But in Cybus Industries form. I love the look of the new Cybermen, and them in our universe, fabulous. Our Universe Cybermen in Cybus Industries form, and now it's happened. But i think they should bring back some old Earthshock ones though!

Steve Moffat IS bringing back the mondas cyberman in either the 1st or 2nd half of series 6. There going to be the modas ones just with a slightly newer design. Hope that cheered most of you up because it did to me.

I was disappointed with the Game, the Mondas Cybermen looked just like the new Cybermen. But with the logo changed, plusthey even went and said delete. I really hate that "Delete" thing. Is fun with the Daleks, but with them it just looks like they are trying to copy them. For that matter yes I want them back, maybe put them against each other for an epic battle or alliance? I know they may have looked silly, but the Cyber men from the 10 planet scared me, they looked so human under all that.
Well as i told the last YouTuber who commented , i dont concider them Adventure Games as continuity , but an Alliance between Mondas and Cybus Cybermen would be interesting , then have the Mondas Cybermen discover they are being betrayed by the Cybus ones and have them all destroyed , showing that Mondas Cybermen are far superior to their Cybus opposites .
well its looking good so far because on the new Dr Who video game on the BBC website, the cybermen are actually from Mondas and have a different logo on their chests, meaning they might be preparing us for Mondas cybermen in the next series. :D
I dont concider those Adventure Games as continuity , and i would hate it if the Cybermen of our Universe return to Doctor Who looking exactly like their Parallel Earth opposites , dispite the change of Logo on them .
I don't hate the Parallel Cybermen, but I still miss the classic ones... they were more interesting in my opinion. And I don't understand why the Cybermen had to be "re-invented" in another universe in the first place... I mean, the Daleks weren't... and John Lumic could have easily been someone in our universe who built a Cyber-Army after the Mondasian Cybermen influenced him and/or promised him immortality. Also, what was wrong with Cybermen simply "destroying" people?
Hear hear! The original Cybermen were alot better than RTD's lot. I didn't like them because they are so annoying. I hate the footstep thing where they make marching noises. I also hate the battle cry "Delete!", an obvious rrip-off from "Exterminate!". RTD made them so computer-like, wheras the classic ones were great. They're mostly robot aswell, just with little bitsof human inside.
Having seen the Pandoirca Opens I'm very confused about the Cybermen. Either theres something Moff isn't telling us or we need 2 do some serious fan wanking. Alternativly I have a theory that the series 5 Cybermen were actually the orignal Cybermen. Either they found and mimicked certain design aspects of the Cybus Cybermen OR in a weird paralell world knd of way they upgraded thier asphetic design and took on the Cybus design which in thier world for some reason started off with that design. ??
1 cannot deny the evil genius of RTD with the Cybermen, love or hate the new ones. He was able 2 do the Cybermen he wanted but hasn't actually ruined the orignal Cybermen. There is a get out clause. I would like 2 c the old ones too but the new ones were the first ones I encountered and I for 1 don't mind them.
Indeed! Polish off the Cybus Cybermen and bring back the originals from Mondas. Redesign them so they don't clank about advertising the action figures and most of all, don't write in a cop out plot device where they conveniently all drop dead simutaneously :D
Wonder if the Daleks and the Cybermen will be in season 6 as well? I agree, the Cyebermen are also softshites from the parallel universe....I think the Cybermen trapped in the local universe would be more dangerous and scheming than the parallel. Also, it would be a great shame if they played the key big bad in the finale of 2010...it'll be just like watching a repeat but told in a different way.

well. maybe the original cybermen might be coming back as a plot twist involving the parrallell universe cybermen episode. obviously they wouldnt flash one of those things in the series trailer because it would ruin the surprise. either way i want a decent story to redeem the cybermen. i mean, the 4 episodes in series 2 were all good but that christmas special was terrible..as they usually are apart from the 2009 2 parter.

I dont think that right call Russell an Idiot , he did bring back Doctor Who after all , and in a pritty good way too with the use of the Time War concept to re-introduce the Character of the Doctor , any other Writer would have probably struggled to come up with an idea for a interesting way to re-introduce the lead Character.

the problem with the new cybermen is that they're too robotic, especially in earthshock with the classic cybermen, you get the feeling that they were once human and part of them still is. the rumour is that they will bring the mondasians back. and if SM redesigned the daleks then hes bound to redesign the cybermen
Steven Moffat didint actually re-design the Daleks , the new Art Department did , he mearly requested a new Design for them , so if the Mondas Cybermen do ever return , it aint gonna be him who re-designs them , it's the Art Department .
I would rather the Cybermen to simple change and update themselves again regardless of origin (preferably something newer). Just don't make em different colors.

Cybermen were always my second favourite Who villains after the Daleks, but when they brought them back in 2006 as the crappy Pete's world Cybusmen I hated them, the suits are crap, the voices are terrible, they're more like robot drones than Cyborgs...
Aside from Siver Nemesis . im actually waiting for Revenge of the Cybermen to come to DVD , cos it was the Story which introduced me to them as a young Kid back in the 90's on an old VHS Video release . It's a great Story , especially when Tom Bakers Doctor shouts " Harry Sullivan is an Imbacile !!!!!! " before passing out .

I think that Stonehenge will turn out to be a device the Mondas Cybermen built ages ago (because its always been a mystery how such heavy stones where used so it may have been the Cybermen) I think it will resurrect Mondas or its Cybermen, I think the parallel ones will somehow be helping the Mondas ones to return then the two races may merge.
The damaged Cyberman is definitely Parallel, but if u look on the DW website they have screenshots from some new downloadable DW game, with Cybermen and their bodies look like the Cybusmen, but the logo on their chest is a cyberman face, instead of the C, so they could be Mondas ones, meaning Mondas Cybermen may be in the series. If they are, chances are they will still look like the Cybusmen.
But those pictures are only for a Game , technially , they dont apply . The Shows Creators wouldint bring back the Mondas Cybermen appearing like there Parallel Counterparts , that would annoy so many Fan's like myself . If they Cybermen of our Universe do return , then they will need to have a brand new Design , not look identical to the Parallels .

The Cybermen in this series arent Cybus men, the just use the bodies. Also, Moffats writing/scriping them, so I think we can expect something good. Heres hoping for the death of 'delete' and that march they do.

i think they are actually back. What weve seen arent the Cybus Industries Cybermen at all. Their Chestplates are gone, replaced by etchings into their metal of their faces. This might actually be our Universe Cybermen after all. They are only the same design of The Cybus Cybermen because they are from a Parralel Universe, and thats why they are identical [Well, nearly]

Steven Moffat has said that those wear mondas cybermen they just look like the parallel ones.

When the NEW Cybermen appeared, I HATED them!
They just copied the Iron Man 1st movie armor!
All that's needed is arc reactor to be Iron Man.
They lost the cyborg aspect of replacing human parts with better parts.
Silver Nemesis Cybermen moved like a human for the most part.

I was disappointed with the Game, the Mondas Cybermen looked just like the new Cybermen. But with the logo changed, plusthey even went and said delete. I really hate that "Delete" thing. Is fun with the Daleks, but with them it just looks like they are trying to copy them. For that matter yes I want them back, maybe put them against each other for an epic battle or alliance? I know they may have looked silly, but the Cyber men from the 10 planet scared me, they looked so human under all that.

Well as i told the last YouTuber who commented , i dont concider them Adventure Games as continuity , but an Alliance between Mondas and Cybus Cybermen would be interesting , then have the Mondas Cybermen discover they are being betrayed by the Cybus ones and have them all destroyed , showing that Mondas Cybermen are far superior to their Cybus opposites .

well its looking good so far because on the new Dr Who video game on the BBC website, the cybermen are actually from Mondas and have a different logo on their chests, meaning they might be preparing us for Mondas cybermen in the next series. :D

I don't hate the Parallel Cybermen, but I still miss the classic ones... they were more interesting in my opinion. And I don't understand why the Cybermen had to be "re-invented" in another universe in the first place... I mean, the Daleks weren't... and John Lumic could have easily been someone in our universe who built a Cyber-Army after the Mondasian Cybermen influenced him and/or promised him immortality. Also, what was wrong with Cybermen simply "destroying" people?

Hear hear! The original Cybermen were alot better than RTD's lot. I didn't like them because they are so annoying. I hate the footstep thing where they make marching noises. I also hate the battle cry "Delete!", an obvious rrip-off from "Exterminate!". RTD made them so computer-like, wheras the classic ones were great. They're mostly robot aswell, just with little bitsof human inside.

Having seen the Pandoirca Opens I'm very confused about the Cybermen. Either theres something Moff isn't telling us or we need 2 do some serious fan wanking. Alternativly I have a theory that the series 5 Cybermen were actually the orignal Cybermen. Either they found and mimicked certain design aspects of the Cybus Cybermen OR in a weird paralell world knd of way they upgraded thier asphetic design and took on the Cybus design which in thier world for some reason started off with that design. ??

1 cannot deny the evil genius of RTD with the Cybermen, love or hate the new ones. He was able 2 do the Cybermen he wanted but hasn't actually ruined the orignal Cybermen. There is a get out clause. I would like 2 c the old ones too but the new ones were the first ones I encountered and I for 1 don't mind them.

Wonder if the Daleks and the Cybermen will be in season 6 as well? I agree, the Cyebermen are also softshites from the parallel universe....I think the Cybermen trapped in the local universe would be more dangerous and scheming than the parallel. Also, it would be a great shame if they played the key big bad in the finale of 2010...it'll be just like watching a repeat but told in a different way.

If there are to be Cybermen in Series 6 [ with the new new Daleks obviously ] then lets hope they will be the Mondasian ones for good , but seeing as Cyberships where recently mentioned by River Song , it seems to me that Steven Moffat IS deleting the Cybus Models in favour of brand new Mondasian Cybermen . . . . and about bloody time too ! . . . .

Thanks , but according to Wikipedia , it's currently unconfirmed that the Mondasian Cybermen will appear in the Pandorica Opens / the Big Bang , but lets not lose Faith in their return offcourse .
Should they return thou i do hope they look abit old fashioned , an upgrade on their 1980's appearance perhaps , with a spash on modern 21st Century styles .

Now from what i have seen in the pandorica opens pictures so far, this could be the best series finale ive seen, but they would have to make each one an hour long, to make to my satisfactory and some episode i feel they have gone quite fast :( like cold blood and the beast below

The best Fanale for me so far has been the previous Fanale of Series 4 , thou Series 2's Fanale was pritty awesome , dispite the lose of Rose and the time .

well. maybe the original cybermen might be coming back as a plot twist involving the parrallell universe cybermen episode. obviously they wouldnt flash one of those things in the series trailer because it would ruin the surprise. either way i want a decent story to redeem the cybermen. i mean, the 4 episodes in series 2 were all good but that christmas special was terrible..as they usually are apart from the 2009 2 parter.

@TheDevilguy676 well RTD wasnt an idiot, and dont say that because he let SM take over the show, because SM is doing a good job so far, i love his episodes, but you do know RTD brought back doctor who after a 9 year absence and if it wasnt for america, doctor who wouldnt have came back at all for a small try in the 90s, and maybe even doctor who wouldnt have came back in 2005, so if it wasnt for RTD, SM, and USA, then doctor who would have been just history

the problem with the new cybermen is that they're too robotic, especially in earthshock with the classic cybermen, you get the feeling that they were once human and part of them still is. the rumour is that they will bring the mondasians back. and if SM redesigned the daleks then hes bound to redesign the cybermen

Steven Moffat didint actually re-design the Daleks , the new Art Department did , he mearly requested a new Design for them , so if the Mondas Cybermen do ever return , it aint gonna be him who re-designs them , it's the Art Department .

Ha now its the new daleks you have to be worrying about now, anyway I have to say I like the new cyberman and rise of the cybermen / age of steel were my favorite episodes in the 2006 series but when it came to army of ghosts they f'ed them up. if they make our reality cybermen look like them with the earth shock personality then I'll be happy.

I just ordered Attack of the Cybermen on dvd, already got Earthshock and Tomb of the Cybermen on DVD, I should buy the Invasion sometime as well, but I wish the BBC would get on a release Silver Nemesis on DVD!
Cybermen were always my second favourite Who villains after the Daleks, but when they brought them back in 2006 as the crappy Pete's world Cybusmen I hated them, the suits are crap, the voices are terrible, they're more like robot drones than Cyborgs...

Aside from Siver Nemesis . im actually waiting for Revenge of the Cybermen to come to DVD , cos it was the Story which introduced me to them as a young Kid back in the 90's on an old VHS Video release . It's a great Story , especially when Tom Bakers Doctor shouts " Harry Sullivan is an Imbacile !!!!!! " before passing out .

I think that Stonehenge will turn out to be a device the Mondas Cybermen built ages ago (because its always been a mystery how such heavy stones where used so it may have been the Cybermen) I think it will resurrect Mondas or its Cybermen, I think the parallel ones will somehow be helping the Mondas ones to return then the two races may merge.

The damaged Cyberman is definitely Parallel, but if u look on the DW website they have screenshots from some new downloadable DW game, with Cybermen and their bodies look like the Cybusmen, but the logo on their chest is a cyberman face, instead of the C, so they could be Mondas ones, meaning Mondas Cybermen may be in the series. If they are, chances are they will still look like the Cybusmen.

The Shows Creators wouldint bring back the Mondas Cybermen appearing like there Parallel Counterparts , that would annoy so many Fan's like myself . And I also think they should bring back some of the old daleks, like the imperial daleks. because I am getting sick of the gold daleks, but it looks like there are some new daleks in series 5.

i think they are actually back. What weve seen arent the Cybus Industries Cybermen at all. Their Chestplates are gone, replaced by etchings into their metal of their faces. This might actually be our Universe Cybermen after all. They are only the same design of The Cybus Cybermen because they are from a Parralel Universe, and thats why they are identical [Well, nearly]

I do agree with this, however I feel that if they bring back the Mondas Cybermen, they will need a bit of updating for the 21st century. Maybe a battle between the Mondas and Parallel Cybermen would be a good two-parter - just like in Doomsday ;)
