@KnightofAbsolution It's a effect set up. Basically its a MIDI sequence programmed from a laptop sent to a nord modulator g2. The laptop sends midi commands to the g2 controlling the pitch(mix between octave up, down, normal) that's the jist.

If you want to create the effect yourself, buy a digitech whammy. You can search on youtube for vids where people have posted how tos for the effect.

I always took the effects on this song for granted, but I just realised that in terms of noise this song is a lot deeper than I thought. The guitar effects are incredible, and the way it blends with Matt's "riiiiight" at around 3:18, listen to the 'bleeping' in the background and the way his voice seems to kind of leave it behind (if that makes sense), it's incredible.
