  • Out-Of-Control: A Dialectical Behavior Therapy (Dbt) - Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Workbook for Getting Control of Our Emotions and Emotion-Dri by Ph.D. Melanie Gordon Sheets (Paperback - May 2010) It helps. I have read it. I also have BPD. Things will get better, just takes time. I am still struggling, but I won't give up.

  • The video made me weep.. it says so much about how it feels to live with bpd..im recently diagnosed and soo needed to see something that made me feel less alone ... thamks

  • people don't have enought awareness about bpd and there should be alot more info out there about this serious illness. like others have said this video is not glamorized it depicts what we feel, creating video's is one of the only way's we can really express how we really feel and not worry about being judged but then saying that we probably do worry about being judged. thankyou to those that do post video's because it has helped me in alot of way's on my road to recovery.

  • Ever notice that all Three Days Grace songs relate so much to BPD?

  • I swear, it's like everyone that bitches about a made up illness HAS to listen to Three Days Grace.

  • haha dude!! the pic at 0:43, i own those pills.

  • Love the song:)

  • I hate videos like this. All of the pictures glamorize self-harm and suicide and things like that, with the fancy effects and clothing of the people, and the random fake pretty eyes, and the makeup and everything, it's just not real. It gives out a false image to people. Self-harm and suicide aren't pretty, and BPD is not pretty.

  • @Korn0nTheK0b I TOTALLY agree. It's almost always just women as well, and the fact is there are a lot of men out there suffering with this as well. Apparently this culture thinks that women are the only people who can possibly be emotionally unstable. It's a myth and needs to be changed. These videos don't help.

  • @Korn0nTheK0b Glamorize? are you really fucking serious? NO ONE who suffers from this wants it to be glamorized. It's a video to represent what those of us who have bpd go through. If you think this is glamorization YOU are the one who needs help. "it's not real" that is the point. And it gives out a REAL image of us with BPD, it's symbolic, not literal. Your opinion makes me think you are either uneducated or have sever problems you should seek help for.

  • @lambchopclmt I am willing to have an intellectual conversation with you about this so that I may explain my point of view, but I will refuse to do that if you back yourself up solely by insulting me.

What I meant is the photos and people in this video appear to be "pretty" (the photos themselves, not what they contain). Refer to 0:13 and 0:28 as examples. Most of the pictures in this video have the "emo" look that people see as "pretty" but I have not seen one that is not glamorized.

  • @lambchopclmt Might I add that I have BPD as well and I was actually offended by the glamorization of this video, and that's why I felt the need to comment.

  • i got ill at 14, finally got diagnosed at 21, it sucks xx

  • I have BPD and I love this song. TDG writes some amazing songs that I relate to so much. This one, and PAIN are fantastic.

  • im 18 and i have bpd and this is by far the best video to help me go through this nightmare. Thank you

  • the air force diagnosed me with bpd in july of this past year after i tried to kill myself :/

  • the marine corps diagnosed me with bpd too.

  • Diagnosed with BPD less than 2 yrs. ago. Started suffering symptoms about age 12. Cried when I saw this. Sad to see others suffer but nice to know I'm not alone.

  • this is so true for me BPD sucks ass and theres no way out. no cure. just managment. at least now i know im doing the sentance alone

  • we're never doin the sentence alone if there are others of us out there.. all i need is a hug from someone who understands after a BAD, BAD episode has passed but i dont even have that cuz no one but my therapists and doctors understand...

however iF you nEED someone to talk to, we're in the same boat, im hERE....

    sTaCi ..thnx!

  • I have BPD and this video really hits home for me! Very true! I wish alot of the people in my life would understand better,

  • whats the song's name?

    love the pictures!

  • three days grace-never too late

    :)

  • thank you for letting me im no alone in how i feel

    thank you for this video

    xoxox

  • I wish the people in my life could just understand!!

  • PERFECT!

  • I was first diagnosed with clinical depression at school....then manic depresstion....then registered disabled with Bi-Polar....now bpd...with npd and ocd....very confusing....thank you for some insight and comfort xxx

  • I am 33 years old and I have had bpd my whole life. I can tell you it gets easier. You can do something about it. get up everyday and keep trying. I know that it seems like blow after blow but I think the older you get the blows sometimes get eaiser or less. I have learned to grow with mine. If you beat yourself down and dont believe in yourself it will stay the way it is. .if you work on it things can and will get better.

  • I can totally relate, i have BPD and hate it, but know there aint nothing i can do about it...sux!

  • Yes there is. Dialectical behavior therapy is shown to be effective. Don't trust old sources and old research.

  • @Lyssenk0 DBT is a crock and a mask for real therapy. It does nothing to address the source of the psychological damage. Yes examining cognitive distortion is a good tool, but it falls short from stopping triggering mechanisms from being activated at crisis moments. DBT in that sense is dangerous and leaves patients open to curing themselves or suicide (which includes the slow methods BPDs use to push toward the edge.) HMOs love it, that should tell you something.

  • I love this video... very beautiful... may God be with us all!!

  • Great video, I love the choice of pictures.

  • I dont do any of this in the video do I have BCD? I dont harm myself in those ways but I constantly think about doing it... like i think of me getting cut up and those stuff ? it sucks nice pictures is there a group for people with borderline pesronality disorder? im pretti sure i have it..

  • very good. thank you.

  • I am currently on an antipsychotic and it is not helping. What works for you may not work for everyone, but thank you for the info.

  • You should talk to your doctor who put you on the pills, and they will try others it took them three different kinds of Anti- Psychotic to get me the right kind of my BPD and it still has it days where it does not work. But they will find one that will work for you, good luck

  • omg where did u find that pic @ 2:59???

    i love it

  • staring at the ceiling from a hospital bed is one of the only times that i feel safe from myself.

however, the strong door pic...gave me the creepers, being locked in a dirty cell is total ass.
