Look at somebody like Carl Froch. He fought the best of the best. Robin Reid, Albert Ryaci, Jean Pascal, Jermaine Taylor, Andre Dirrell, Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham, Glen Johnson etc. The problem with Bute is his opponents have too much respect for him. If he fights against Froch, he won't be ablet to hurt him.
Magee has landed some good shots with his left but he hasn't so much power in his punches as Bute has, so he didn't put Bute in serious troubles. Bute has some lacks in his defensive ( must be remediated ) and fighters as Froch,Ward,Dirrel,Kessler will exploit this lacks and it won't be so good for Bute !
Bute will be more than a match for anyone at SM, although he's going to be very out of his comfort zone when he comes up against a Froch or a Kessler who he can't control and dominate the pace against, all of his opponents so far are kinda hand picked I think, he's yet to prove himself.

When Bute fights real champ then that will test him to see how good of a champion he really is. Bute has ducked to many great fighters in his division.
uhm, he can't fight the super 6 boxers because they are locked up with the super 6. He prob will fight kessler and KO him, then fight Bhop, and after that fight Ward
how can he duck? all of the 'top' fighters were locked in the super 6, and Martinez hasn't really stepped up to SMW, and BHOP's fought Pascal at LHW. Bute is fighting an undefeated fighter in JP-Mendy in july. The big fights will come afterwards
@RoberTastic bute had an option to enter the super6 but he didnt want it, so he is ducking top guys to prolong his career coz he knows he would get creamed among those guys in the super6.
judging by this performance against a guy that is at the end of his career, bute is far from being the best in the division.

@greaterrome i agree, dirrell is a great natural boxer, i think bute schools abraham and johnson. ward gives him a tough fight as well, he needs to step up though, instead of fighting b rated fighters, he has skills.
@bigdunk9 abraham is kind of scary with all of that power. like i said, dirrel and ward are two of the top five in their weight class but i'd be more worried about ward than dirrel. any opponent that doesn't put fear in bute by the first 3 rounds is in for a long night with him. either way, i think he'll definitely fighting big names sooner-than-later because he'll have to. right now, i think he's building a following and getting his skills up-to-date.
Kessler is going to put this guy to bed once and for all to see. Bute is hyped to the hilt, despite fighting bums. Kessler is proven at the highest level, and has beat some top level opposition. Bute can't feed of bums for his whole career, so sooner or later Bute will be found out on the big stage.

@dotole vs limited opposition - Magee fought the best he could and he deserves more credit than the victor - having less skill, lesser talent, being an immense underdog with little chance of winning he still gave it his all. Bute has fought no one at all.
My respect goes to Magee for showing courage and a lion heart to keep moving forward and keep on the pressure against Bute. He definately won at least 3 rounds if you ask me.
That guy was sitting next to me on the bus last week, and now he's fighting Bute. He's one of the best fighters in the world purely from a talent perspective, but he is wasted talent. He doesn't like a challenges, if he did, he wouldn't duck the super six only to fight the number 8 contender at home in Montreal. It's really a sad shame.

Look at somebody like Carl Froch. He fought the best of the best. Robin Reid, Albert Ryaci, Jean Pascal, Jermaine Taylor, Andre Dirrell, Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham, Glen Johnson etc. The problem with Bute is his opponents have too much respect for him. If he fights against Froch, he won't be ablet to hurt him.

Magee has landed some good shots with his left but he hasn't so much power in his punches as Bute has, so he didn't put Bute in serious troubles. Bute has some lacks in his defensive ( must be remediated ) and fighters as Froch,Ward,Dirrel,Kessler will exploit this lacks and it won't be so good for Bute !

@bigdunk9 abraham is kind of scary with all of that power. like i said, dirrel and ward are two of the top five in their weight class but i'd be more worried about ward than dirrel. any opponent that doesn't put fear in bute by the first 3 rounds is in for a long night with him. either way, i think he'll definitely fighting big names sooner-than-later because he'll have to. right now, i think he's building a following and getting his skills up-to-date.

Kessler is going to put this guy to bed once and for all to see. Bute is hyped to the hilt, despite fighting bums. Kessler is proven at the highest level, and has beat some top level opposition. Bute can't feed of bums for his whole career, so sooner or later Bute will be found out on the big stage.

That guy was sitting next to me on the bus last week, and now he's fighting Bute. He's one of the best fighters in the world purely from a talent perspective, but he is wasted talent. He doesn't like a challenges, if he did, he wouldn't duck the super six only to fight the number 8 contender at home in Montreal. It's really a sad shame.

I am a Carl Froch fan. Bute v Froch would be special. Bute would have to land his body shots to slow Froch down as Carl wont stop chasing him. I do think Ward beats Bute though and Froch. comentatori de 2 lei. felicitari bute! victoria ramane victorie indiferent de adversar. sunt multi pe aici care sufera infrangere dupa infrangere si tot nu inteleg ca este cazul sa se ridice din genunchi si sa adopte o alta atitudine decat frustrarea..

pasionatdebuci nu frate da eu cred in libertatea cuvantului eu nu sunt ca tine fara vulgaritatii si am nicku pasionat de buci ! ce zice asta despre tine ? :)) si inca nu mi-ai raspuns singuru boxeer neinvins niciodata ! si nu cauta pe google

@lovinDaMusik Mai are rost sa-ti raspund,dupa cate cunostinte ai tu in box? vezi ca mai sunt cativa neinvinsi in cariera nu doar unul, Rocky Marciano,probabil ca la el te referi.
Nu conteaza cum ai niku,conteaza ce ai in cutia craniana,ca daca ai cacat e jale ;)

@somnoroasepasarici normal. doar, cel mai recent pugilist care sa retras neinvins a fost joe calzaghe. si stiu eu bine ca au mai fost altii care sau restras fara se piarda un singur meci... cel despre care vorbiti habar n-are despre boxul
