Get the Babylon 5 first season DVD. JMS does the commentary for this episode, and for this entire sequence, he does it in the head of the guy between them.

The writer once said that this was meant to show that the two races personified by the characters are so alike. But they cant see it!

@mattwho81 Yeah and that's why the Centari and Narns hate each other so much because they're so much alike! Both races became brutal and arrogant in order to survive in what they regarded as a hostile universe and both ended up having to be smacked upside the head by some major negative event to snap out of their "We must be assholes to survive" mindset.

@Jallorn Pretty much. To them, their feud is childish and immature with both races acting badly in their quest to destroy one another.

Even when the Earth Alliance made that Non-Aggression pact with the Centauri, it wasn't a sign that they were allied with the Centauri, merely saying that they weren't getting involved in the fighting between the various races.

I feel bad for the poor guy in the middle. If I were him, I would do the same thing he did which was run away into the elevator to get away from the argument

LOL I'm going to have to watch the series again to find out which episode this is, because I don't remember this scene! Classic Londo and G'Kar! I don't blame that poor guy in the middle for rushing into the elevator while they were arguing. XD
