Clearly a jerkoff act on the part of the cop. I wonder if he would've been so quick to pull his tough guy acrobatics if the protester was bigger than him and someone to be reckoned with. It's all arbitrary.
The cops should be with us (the vast vast majority of the population, that is), and eventually they will be.
If your on the sidewalk, you have the First Amendamant right to be there to protest, on the sidewalk no permit is required, it is not a crime in the United States to disobey the unlawful orders of a police officer, quite the contrary, it is fact a Federal Crime to deprive a citizen of their Constitutional rights under color of Law.
All you Facists supporting this would be right at home in Syria on the side of the regime, but you are not in Syria, it's not quite a 100% police state, yet.

@Lazypackmule These protesters are infringing on the rites of others by clogging sidewalks and streets. I don't care what there protesting, I fought on the front lines in two wars to defend these people and there freedoms, i know the real world all too well. If that Police officer shoved the guy without taking proper police action he could have been brought up on charges himself. Once an officer puts his/her hands on you game over your an arrest
@Themadoutbacker So shoving him would result in legal action but pinning him to the ground and pulling his arm back is "proper police action"? Fair enough.
@Lazypackmule Using the arm bar is proper police procedure they're taught that in the police academy. And by the way he did push him back first and gave him a verbal order to get back, and he refused to comply with the lawful order - that was his choice. You are wrong sorry have a good one.
@BarakaDukkha Im tired of paying my $200 to people too lazy to work not the under employed or the laid off I'm not speaking of liberal squatters whose time could be spent working to better themselves and there communities.

He was told to get back. That's it no discussion. Do not collect $200.00 go directly to jail.
Themadoutbacker 5 months ago
@Themadoutbacker "I told him to get back" is no excuse for any of that.
Lazypackmule 5 months ago
@Lazypackmule Your confused how the real world works, if a police officer tells you to get back you get back there is no talking it over.
Themadoutbacker 5 months ago
@Themadoutbacker Still no excuse for what they did.
A shove would have been adequate. Hell, pepper spray would have sufficed.
Taking the man to the ground was one hell of an overreaction.
When this is how people think "the real world works", there is a problem with how the "world" works.
What the fuck do you think protests are even for?
